Yes but only real men drink Irish whiskey....Jamesons is a bit too rough for some gentler souls

Islay malts - I'd sooner drink lighter fluid.

Not sure I would go that far but I do prefer Highland brews.

I have always thought the reverse Saty.

The better quality Irish single malts I find are a bit tasteless.

Prefer a good Scottish Highland single malt myself.

I will have a word on Neeld.

He came from the Malthouse camp and whether we like Malthouse or not we can't deny that he can coach - runs are on the board. I don't think the problem with Neeld is that he didn't have a game plan or an idea of how he wanted the team to play. His problem was he couldn't deliver/sell the message or get buy in.

pretty much Nut.

some good ideas that didnt pan out

and now we have the real deal...yeeha !!

Its interesting, after the initial Neeld euphoria on his appointment, I did wonder how the players could "believe" because from early on I was struggling. With Roos, he just keeps the message simple and seems to have the equal measures of tough, approachable, disciplinarian, but likable and friendly and it is not difficult to get swept up by him.

Actually I'm not so keen on lighter fluid - but liquid peat doesn't do it for me, either. With you in the Highlands.

shurly that's a mythtakel

Robert Asprin says hi!

Is it ok to enjoy a double shot Canadian Club Whiskey with one block of ice?

Makers Mark and Jamiesons have been old friends. As has J Walker Blue and Wild Turk OP.

In moderation of course. But i must say since Abbott and Co have arrived and are dismantling the fabric of my country the consumption of top shelf liquor has increased....:)

Whiskey is fine if the Cognac has run out.

Of course wyl.

Whatever turns your top soil.

Surprised that you guys are talking about whiskey when Roos has just presented his (Part 2) pre-season update. Surely there must be some comment?

Today I have run out of enthusiasm for football in 2103 CBDees.

This is a little lighter and less abuse if you say the wrong thing!

The only other guy I ever heard of drinking that was the former boss of "News of the World".

Rupert would be disgusted that WYL can afford the same drink as his boy .

Tweet him immediately with the "News".

I can picture the phone call from Rupert to the ABC

RM"Tell everyone they are sacked immediately for wasting money"

ABC employee"Mr Murdoch ,are you aware that you don't actually own the ABC?"

RM"Why not-who says"

ABC"It's a publicly owned broadcaster"

RM"Bloody socialists"

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
