It's good money if you have the nous.

I got quoted $3,000 for a 500 GB drivethat failed with no guarantees of success!!!

I would do it for you for $2,950 with no chance of success.

ah...the miracle of backing up

but I fear im dragging the thread Off topic..

back to the merciless venting of despicion ...Messendon

I blame them. When we stop blaming them for running stories with an obvious slant, driven by un-named sources with a clear agenda, they'll actually get worse and then worse. It's grim now but it can get worse. Anyway, back to the drugs. I'm struggling to get my head around the enormity of the report. I can't see a way for Hird to survive and the AFL will lose all credibility if a huge sanction against the club isn't handed down. When the huff and puff dies down, surely Essendon will sack Hird and avoid court and in so doing hang on to the hope of still having a team playing in the AFL in 2014.

If you have an issue you should always address the problem at the source.

The AFLs hotchpotch handling of the guilty parties in the MFC tanking and the Crows draft corruption has already soiled their integrity.

This cuts to the core of the game and the critical issue of player welfare where WADA and the ACC are involved and the sporting world is watching this.

I don't think the AFL will breach its TV rights obligations voluntarily by excluding Essendon but its impossible for Hird and others to survive this.

Once Essendon gets smart and realises that this has become all about Hird fighting for his integrity and trashing his club in the process then they will decouple the 4 aminos. Heaven help them if the ASADA final report issues one infraction notice on an Essendon player.

And when the dust does Paul Little should be jettisoned urgently as he has been pivotal in exacerbating the problem and has left the clubs relationship with the AFL, government bodies, the other 17 clubs , its players and the general public in tatters.

A disgraceful episode in AFL history and the worst in the clubs long history.

So Sam Lane announcing that Hird is suing the AFL due to being denied Natural Justice.

good luck with that James......seems along with natural justice is a thing called common sense.. You obviously have been denied that at least !!!! :)

And if they are provided evidence from a regular source who is at the centre of the action then why wouldn't they publish??

And how are you in the position to determine whether the truth is being told?

Given the release of the charges by the AFL, if anything the chorus against Essendon in the media has been understated.

On the other hand they have printed what Hird has said which is in itself is newsworthy. It's pity Hird seems delusional.

I didn't say they shouldn't publish it. What I said can include that. Read it again, seek out the truth, don't JUST regurgitate.

certainly is... A good mate relies on the failures of folks ...lol

Many first generation drives 2007-8 that have family photos documents etc are now failing.

People will pay a ransom to save that stuff

thanks Champ. Will let my boss know:)

If we get the deal done before September 2013 I can offer you a 50% discount as your a MFC member.

And how would you know that they are not seeking out the truth and just regurgitating....the truth?

Good Luck Jimmy.

Not even Saul Goodman would be confident of beating that document that arrived today.

Is he really that stupid?

Loved that skit.

Now have I got a deal for you Mr Hird.

Loved that skit.

Now have I got a deal for you Mr Hird.

Arthur Daley also comes to mind here.

"I'll fix it Mr. Hird"

"That will be an upfront payment...You do see my situation don't you Mr. Hird..."

Is he really that stupid?

hes a sociopath...of course he isnt stupid....he's just abnormally focussed lol

So Sam Lane announcing that Hird is suing the AFL due to being denied Natural Justice.

As he has done so from the start Hird is playing a game of brinkmanship. He understands that he has nothing to lose by doing so and is comfortable with the notion that me may bring the whole competition down.

And how would you know that they are not seeking out the truth and just regurgitating....the truth?

Oh come on. You get one lot regurgitating one side's line and the other lot regurgitating the other side's. They can't both be the full truth. In your world all a journalist has to to is to publish the press releases of the interested parties and their job is done. Why both with journalists at all?

Digital is an interesting concept... the numerical sequencing principle is ageless. Materials can have a use by date though.

Jimmy can't step down now...he has gone too far.

He had the chance to bail out early this year.

I will enjoy it if Essendrug remove him in the off season after the sponsors leave and the bills mount up.

Did you hear the ever so slight hesitations ? he knows hes on a hiding to nothing....actually...just a hiding !!

muwhahahaha !!

So you sue before the hearing claim lack of natural justice.

I am not a lawyer but surely one would assume you takes this action after the hearing.

You should fire up a dormant drive every 6-12 months. Keep the bearings alive. They are the first bit to go.

  • NON-MFC: Round 09

Round 9 kicks off out west with the Dockers hosting a Collingwood side resting several stars. Fremantle need to make a statement on their home deck after some disappointing form on the road, while the Magpies will be keen to maintain their Top 2 position. Friday night sees a must-win clash between two sides desperate to stay in touch with the eight. St Kilda have shown glimpses while Carlton are clinging to relevance after a flat start to the season. Saturday’s twilight game at Marvel pits the Bombers against a struggling Sydney outfit. Essendon can’t afford another close match against a lower-ranked side, while the Swans risk sliding down the ladder even further. Up in Darwin, the fourth-placed Suns will look to extend their stay in the top four. The Bulldogs have hit their stride with three big wins on the trot and will be very keen to consolidate on their momentum. The always fiery Showdown looms as pivotal for both clubs. Adelaide are eyeing a spot in the Top 4 with a win, while Port Adelaide’s season could slip away if they drop another game and fall further behind the pack. Sunday begins with a yawn fest between Richmond and West Coast. The Tigers need to bank the points to stay clear of the bottom two, while the Eagles are still chasing their first win of the year. The Giants face one of the league’s toughest road trips as they travel to GMHBA Stadium to face the Cats. With GWS at risk of a third straight loss, Geelong will be eager to consolidate their position inside the eight and start their climb up the ladder. The round wraps up with the top-of-the-table Lions heading to Ninja Stadium to take on the second-last Roos. The Lions should easily take care of the struggling Roos who might be powerless against the best in the comp. Who are you tipping and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • PREVIEW: Hawthorn

Melbourne and Hawthorn who face off against each other this week have more in common than having once almost merged and about to wear a blue jumper with a red v triangle and an embroidered picture of a bird on the front. They also share the MCG as their main home ground, their supporters are associated with the leafy suburbs of Melbourne and in recent times, James Frawley graced the colours of both teams. Even more recently, both have bounced back from disastrous five game losing streaks to start off a season. Of course, the Hawks turned their bounce into a successful leap from the bottom of the ladder into a finals appearance, making it to the semifinals in 2024 and this year, they’re riding high in third place on the AFL table. The Demons are just three games into their 2025 bounce back, and are yet to climb their way out of the bottom four although they are sitting a game and percentage out of the top eight. However, with the current sportsbet odds of $3.90 to win this week’s encounter, it seems a forlorn hope that their upward progression will continue much longer.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.
