Trengove - was barely seen

Grimes - was barely seen

Jones - outstanding all day

Watts - was barely seen

Toumpas - showed some signs

Dawes - was barely seen

Frawley - strong all day

Byrnes - our only forward

Sylvia - tried but failed

Dunn - was barely seen

Blease - had no impact

Garland - just a game

McDonald - was well beaten

Nicholson - expectedly failed miserably

Kent - devoid of awareness

Davey - couldn't get going

Gawk - lone handed performance

Howe - career worst game

M.Jones - many meaningless possessions

Terlich - not as prolific

Fitzpatrick - abysmal in conditions

Clisby - was rarely noticed

Good summation again.

Thought Garland was ok.

You've got a thing about Kent and awareness, I think it's more concentration.

Howe - Park Footballer. Take a specy and snap a goal. That's about it.

Toump - Very good. Getting better by the week.

Gawn - Will be great for the experience.

Kent - less said the better

Interesting to look at Watts' stats. 10 disposals, 9 contested is a good sign, but 60% efficiency is not what we expect from him even in the wet.

Better that Davey I guess.

Howe - Park Footballer. Take a specy and snap a goal. That's about it.

Howe was a forward in a team that scored the least ever inside 50s, a bit hard to critique a player like him especially when everyone's been screaming when he's played in the midfield/defense.

Frankly this was just a tough week to judge full stop, they went in as hard as we've ever asked of them and competed in clearances but just didn't have the poise or polish the cats do. And to make matters worse defense was something the cats were focusing on. The goals were always going to come, but they really wanted to restrict us and they are a team that usually gets what they want.

Melbourne Team - Went in hard

Many overrate Howe, but that is over correcting it just a tad don't you think. We could have had Wayne Carey or Jesus Christ himself playing forward today and they would have struggled.

I've got a feeling the time is fast approaching to move Howe full time into the mids, & Watts to take Howes role, wing/half-forward flank.... with Fitz in the pocket & I'd play Dawes at CHF... this year.... Sylvia on the flank, changing onball.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.
