Game Day Thread - Hawks v Daemons

Thats why mckenzie should not play afl. Absolutely shat his dacks then abd turnover cost us a goal.

I'm all for playing on. When it makes sense. Not when you're panicked.

Our players mostly struggle to make good decisions. Even senior players. It's not good enough.

You are 100% correct.

That is a decision to be made by the players, and has nothing to do with the coach. If anything it is evidence the coach is supporting and encouraging his players.

It's like Watts has a rule that for every good thing he does he'll do 2 more bad things

Quite frankly no one could coach this mob ,, bloodless hopeless skills by our bums !!

Sorry I forgot I can't blame the coach for our inability to make basic decisions with and without the footy. Apparently he is absolved from all blame that we are heading towards 100-3 loss.

This is now as ugly as I expected.

Our competitive efforts and attack on the man and ball are as good today as anytime this year, and are acceptable.

We are losing because our skills under pressure are terrible.

Thank God -Hawthorn is starting to thump us. New coach coming real soon. Great! We might even win a match. Perhaps he could tell wattsie to get the ball wherever it is!

Spot on. We have had chances but spew it up by foot.

This is the team that Bailey , Neeld and the mighty Barry P built, christ we where meant to pushin for the upper part of the top 8 by 2013, this clubs a joke, nothing can fix this losing culture, this clubs time is nearly up.

My god we need a goal

How can we have so many players devoid of basic skill set at AFL level...

Our effort was good for the first quarter. We've totally shat ourselves now as usual and Neeld has loaded the backline already.

Epic smashing coming up. Brace yourself.

3 points and its almost half time. Whats lowest hald time score ever

You can blame the coach for a lot of things but this isn't one of them.

Your football knowledge is better than stooping to this sort of irrationality. Pick on the coach for things the coach controls.

Watts as the loose man is a joke. Give him a chance up forward FFS.

Presser should be good

Wait so decision making is not the coach's domain?

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
