WHEN (IF) WE RISE AGAIN, I WILL DANCE ON THEIR GRAVES

Featured Replies

I like most of the people on here, I am just a supporter. Other than paying for my membership each year, there's little I can do to influence anything the team or the club does.

Like many of you on here, in supporter terms I'm about as low as you can get right now. I clutch at whatever positive thoughts I can find as I know the alternative is unhelpful and destructive.

I'm sick of the jokes at work, in the family and among friends

I'm sick of everyone feeling sorry for me

I'm sick of people trying to help me with my "problem" that i go for melbourne - eg "my mum has switched to the storm - she says she gets more back from the emotional investment"

I'm sick of the scandals - merging, salary cap, leadership spills, changes of coach, the tanking, the alleged danking

I'm sick of the spin and pre-season hype. I know the club needs to do it to get memberships but it was wearing thin more than 10 years ago

But most of all I'm sick of losing!

Back when I started following the club, whenever something bad happened - losing a big game, or some sort of turmoil, I always thought that in the long run this will build our character and on that final day in september it will mean that much more.

I don't know anymore if we will get to that day - there are so many powerful forces at work and we are about as far away from powerful as you can get.

BUT what I do know, is that if we ever rise up the ladder and win that premiership, I will let everyone know. Every person who has joked, patronised and tried to get me to turn away... I will let them know that this is what it means to be a real supporter. I will dance on their graves as we are down and out right now and we made it back.

This is what keeps me going.

just remember no matter how low we go, we will never be as low as that germ Damian Barrett

If being shat on from a great height is character building, then we Melbourne supporters must have well built characters. You wouldn't know from some of the posters here - I include myself,

We could all be playing lawn bowls and complaining of gas by then, but I'll take it.

hey cut it out I resemble that

I have the medical problems but could never come at Lawn Bowls. On the other hand they do have cheap beer !!

I will stick it up them!! Will party for a week straight..

I will send a weekly email every Monday until the following season starts..

Might even post out letters for those less fortunate non computer savy mates..

They will hear me loud and clear..

Go Dee's..

I would love to see things turn for us like they have at port!

Damien Barrett and his army of knobs will have to search for something decent to write about rather than just knocking us every other comment.

"If you sit by the river long enough, you will see the body of your enemy float by."

Yes sick in the gootz for weeks now. I'm tired of people feeling sorry for me.

Carn Dees. Never Give Up

Yep I look forward to the day. I've already had a few moments already. Forty years a supporter and I thank my Demon supporting uncle for taking me to my first game of football and getting us into the rooms. Can't remember much about the game, just how big everyone seemed in the rooms and all that Red and Blue. The rest of my family are Blues so they are really going to cop it when the wheel turns, as it will.

Wwwwwwww Iiiiiiiiiiii Nnnnnnnnn - what's that?????
