kick on the G after the game on sunday

Watching Neeld's coaches thing he does on the website he mentioned you can go for a kick on the G after the game.

Its like the good old days where you try to get to the rope in the centre square first, footballs fly everywhere and you usually end up losing a child somewhere.

Nice initiative.

Love it - I've always wanted an excuse to run out on the G.

Apparently they are handing out free substances as well (have to get rid of them somehow - maybe Dank might be there giving autographs).

..... Seriously I am sensing that there are not going to be to many there - probably like 13,000 (good time to have a kick on the MCG)

Had a feeling this would be a round where they did this - last game on the 'G for the week, and playing a small interstate opponent.

Will be out there for sure. :)

Some things will always be fun.

That might be some competition from a few players trying to get the feel of a ball after the game YD.

Be careful you don't injure any of them.

It depends on who we get to kick on the G, if it's a few of the dheads that have caused our current woes, we could double the crowd.

If we lose, supporters may not wait until the first siren let alone the second to invade the field.

Who says we need a siren - lets march onto the MCG now (meet you there in 15 min)

That would have been a lot easier for me when I lived in Collingwood. Maybe Sunday.

Great. So the Toiges fans get a chance at a $45,000 car just for turning up....and we get to run on to the G for free! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! (i actually love running on for a kick with me son....shhhh....don't tell anyone!)

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
