Who I am? A guessing quiz.

hmmm....i thought 50% of a pas-deux was 1 so i was thinking of players wearing no 1

as for wandflower...never heard of it, but that's not surprising given my lack of knowledge on ballet (lol).....give your wife a pat on the back

Ironically wandflower had nothing to do with Deevoted's line of thinking and if he hadn't mentioned ballet, I wouldn't have guessed Flower and connected the RF communication bit.

Guess I'll put that one down to sheer @rse.

lol smithy

and....i'd have thought 50% of a tu-tu was a one-one = 11 = a player wearing no 11 e.g. Jimma

A win is a win, it doesnt matter how you got there. Btw is there anything else I (we) should know in regards to your missus or any other related member of the family, next of kin?, neighbours, who are also experts in other fields, that you would like to share? Just thought I'd pass it by you,so I can keep it in mind for future reference .

I never heard of a wandflower either, but ballet isnt high up on my interests, it just happened to be a dead give-away that worked in your favour.

Nothing other than the blackboard out the front and the family conference calls

Stringrays wins in a photo finish from gsmith!! or did smithy tank?? wheres kero wilson when needed?

The Closest finish in the history of the World D'land quiz. Perhaps Mrs Smith was on the phone he got help up, :)

Either way he got pipped at the post. (so to speak)

Another good win to Stringrays to keep him at / near the top of the leaderboard. And with WJ sailing off into the wild blue yonder, now is a good chance to get a buffer on him. To the other guessees, keep trying.

Kelvin Templeton
Footscray to Melbourne 1983
At sixteen years of age Templeton kicked 100 goals for Traralgon in the 1973 Latrobe Valley FL season. He was the second man and still the youngest to kick 100 goals in a season in that competition.
The Dogs' captain had kicked 494 goals, won the 1980 Brownlow, two best-and-fairests and two Coleman medals when he was poached by the Demons as part of a blockbuster $1.2 million deal that also secured Pies skipper Peter Moore. A superstar at Footscray, Templeton was less influential at Melbourne, kicking 99 goals in 34 games before injuries caught up with him.

I'll except those ,the conference calls will be monitored closely. If you hear clicking on the line, no need to be concerned.

My relief man, Red and Blue Forever needs to have gone awol :) So I will carry on.

Funny I was going to consider Kelvin until I noticed his average was 2.91

Oh well , lol

That was what threw me too.

He didn't average a "bit over 3 goals per game" with Melbourne.

99 from 34.

'This game stinks or should I say well done stingrays'

Hate to be a pedant Deevoted however If KT had averaged 3+ goals per game he would have managed 102+ would he not ?

Please keep the clues factual

Just joshing.

Sorry, didn't read the 2 posts prior to mine so was not rubbing it in so to speak.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

Salem proved to be a valuable contributor as a reliable and solid one-on-one medium-sized defender in what was undoubtedly his most impressive season since the premiership year. He remains a highly capable rebounding option for the Demons as he approaches his 200th game at the club.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

Following an injury-interrupted start to the season, McVee struggled to maintain the standard he established in 2025 as he pursued an expanded role within the team structure. He remained a firm fan favourite and the club had hoped to negotiate a new contract with the former rookie selection from Western Australia, whose partner, Lily Johnson, plays for Melbourne's AFLW side. Those hopes were dashed when he expressed his desire to return to his home state and play for Fremantle. Like all players who have worn the red and blue and are leaving this year, we wish him well in the future.
