Who I am? A guessing quiz.

Well "young grasshopper" I am not buying into your feeble attempt to sway my agenda ;)

A history lesson wont hurt to broaden your knowlegde of ex or existing players.

I will mix it up a bit, so you wont feel left out.

A wild guess sometimes could be the correct one. its just a bit of fun

My new plan will be to ask my old man, and see if he knows haha!

Always keen on a bit of mfc history!

Good work on setting this up

NP MM ask the dog anyone you want .

I just got caught out by 3 yrs, so I better sharpen up my game.

I''ll add some from mid 2000, just to help you out.

I got caught once, and it seems i need to harden up these clues a bit.

Well done Stingrays, this is too easy for you guys. :)

I'll add another tomorrow, as I really need to toughen up these clues.

I under-estimated you lot a bit. I now have I better idea as so far as guaging how hard to make the clues

Was that a guess? or do I need to make the clues harder?

Not a guess. I read about it when I was looking at captains we sacked after we got rid of James McDonald. Hassa Mann was one of those who we dumped.

I had a change of heart, did a quick edit. If anyone gets this in 5 mins, the next player clue is going to be along the lines of my 1st name begins with a 'P'.

Who I am..... (1st Clue)

I am a Midfielder. I twice polled the most votes (in a season) of any MFC player in the Brownlow

I am? ......

Well done 45.. I dont believe this. You guys are good. Expect tougher clues from now on.

Thats it for today.

This is hilarious! Trying to play "guess the player" with this group of hard core obsessive Melbourne supporters.

Very funny.

Wells has done it more than twice. I probably misinterpreted the question.

Not really, you needed the next clue or 2 to narrow it down further.

ie Some of the clues = I wore number 10 in my playing days. That could be any number of players.

I'll be busy for an hour or 2 refining these clues, I wasnt expecting them to be ended in 5 mins.

I'll post another tomorrow pre Melb Cup time.

Maybe I can stump someone for longer than a 1 guess attempt. The challenge is back on me

2 spring to mind

Ray Biffin - Sure he came across as a forward originally

or

Rod Grinter - sure he started as HFF before dominating on the HBF

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

Salem proved to be a valuable contributor as a reliable and solid one-on-one medium-sized defender in what was undoubtedly his most impressive season since the premiership year. He remains a highly capable rebounding option for the Demons as he approaches his 200th game at the club.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

Following an injury-interrupted start to the season, McVee struggled to maintain the standard he established in 2025 as he pursued an expanded role within the team structure. He remained a firm fan favourite and the club had hoped to negotiate a new contract with the former rookie selection from Western Australia, whose partner, Lily Johnson, plays for Melbourne's AFLW side. Those hopes were dashed when he expressed his desire to return to his home state and play for Fremantle. Like all players who have worn the red and blue and are leaving this year, we wish him well in the future.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #5 Christian Petracca

The superstar Demon midfielder made a successful return to the fold after his devastating injury last year and the subsequent fallout from the treatment he received, during which time he sought to depart the club. Petracca's professionalism and strong play, both in the midfield and up forward, were outstanding and resulted in him being runner-up in the club's best and fairest count. However, early this week, the club's new CEO, Paul Guerra, confirmed that the under-contract Petracca has again requested a trade, adding that he would only be allowed to leave for a “quality offer that turns our head". No doubt some Demon heads are already spinning.
