    I am on the train to Albury with reception dropping in and out...

    can somebody drop by gosch's this weekend and report on the 2 ovals and whether or not they have goalposts ??

    looks like we can play at glenferrie if we start at 10am, but I am wondering if other sites' organisers have been given the wrong info about gosch's being "under reconstruction"...

    hey, guys, here is message sent today to scotty (bomberblitz organiser) repeated on all forum boards:

    Dear Scotty,

    Realise you are interstate and may not get this for a while.

    The saints have dropped out, and the pies are struggling for numbers.

    The saints dropping out means we will be clear of Glenferrie well before the Charity match begins at 2pm.

    Because dons and dees have massive numbers, and may have to loan players to pies, I suggest the following format:

    Each game 2 X 20 minute halves, 5 minute break at half time.

    11am dons v dees

    11.50am pies v dees

    12.40pm dons v pies

    If pies play second, that will give us plenty of time to work out how many players they need to be loaned, work out jumpers etc.

    If anybody objects to this format, we dees will be happy to flip a coin etc to decide on the order of play.

    Confirm that quality, professional umpires have been retained again this year.

    Let me know (when you can access this message).

    I just got back from watching victory lose 5-0 in brisbane. Alcohol was a requirment.

After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
      Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.
