Jetta No Case to Answer

fletcher is dirty, always has been. just seems to get away with it a lot. I think their was a blatant trip as well int he game that wasn't reported.

While I don't hate him personally, I do hate the way he plays and has played over the years. I think he is one of the biggest snipers we have seen in football, who tries to disguise his deliberate illegal acts with a pretension of of clumsiness. I have not the slightest doubt after viewing the incident several times, that he deliberately kneed Blease in the hip to hurt him and slow him down or put him out of the game.

Is the footage on you tube or anywhere else?

Quite simply ...he ought to be playing that 'other' code of football. theyre really good at comedy !!

why are the press so silent on these incidents (fletcher, ryder, kelly)?

is it just a case of knowing which side your toast is buttered?

The press, just like the "independent" MRP each have their own agendas.

The way Fletcher plays is something he has developed over time to know what he can get away with so no surprise there.

I think Ryder got a reprimand?

The Kelly one was really odd and again horribly inconsistent.

Yes I understand but recently there has been (supposedly) an enhanced emphasis on sliding in with the knees especially front on

And where injury has been sustained. Blease had to be subbed off and could miss weeks

I have only seen this incident replayed once after the game with little comment

With a zillion afl journos/commentators supposedly starved for stories it is surprising this (and kelly) didn't get more discussion

If Blease had been Rioli or Thomas or DelSanto it would have had massive coverage

1000% correct DC

Just saw hird on the news. Reckons Joel mac should have been reported for this! He's lost it

lol i seen that i actually nearly spat my drink out, HIRD HAS LOST THE PLOT i take it he was talking about joel dropping the knees into jetta you see that 1000 times a game hirdy i guess he missed the one fletcher did on blease that sent him from the ground was much much worse

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
