I have a warm fuzzy about this latest rebuild

Looks like Ned has started passing round that stuff he was smoking when he started that Brock McLean thread...

No gunfire from my direction! I'm firmly with you, Lamb! Just a little more patience (well, maybe a LOT more...), and all will be revealed. A glorious new Demon Empire to rival our great days of the 1950's!

So, Scoffers, scoff on! Your days are numbered...!

Go Dees!

I with you on this one. I reckon by the end of the season will have seen signs of what we are all about. Its just a matter of time, as it always is with out club....Oh well, GO DEES!

So, Scoffers, scoff on! Your days are numbered...!

This would have to be one of the best lines I have seen on Demonland for a while.... I love that :)

Thanks, Oucher. Inspiration doesn't come easy on a cold & wet Friday arvo here on the Gold Coast!

Not a cloud in the sky here in Melbourne.

You should come down here and get away from that god awful climate!!

SCOFF!

(please let my days be numbered, I can't handle much more of this)

Got to love the eternal optimism of MFC supporters!

At 0-9, and bottom of the table, it can only really go one way.

I don't understand why if you have a view that is not a 100% positive one, that you are considered a Scoffer. At the risk of speaking on behalf of these so called "Scoffers", we will always support the MFC, but I'm currently in a situation where I'm not entirely happy with how my/our football club is operating, and for my own health/safety/sanity, can't put 100% blind faith in those that are involved at the moment. That doesn't mean I'm less of a supporter than the "non-Scoffers"; I continue to buy my memberships, wear my colours even after each loss this year, live with some hope that perhaps next year will be our year, but currently, as Old Dee (I think) has said a few times of late, there is a life outside the MFC that is a bit brighter at the moment.

If that makes me guilty of being a Scoffer, I don't give an obese rodents clacka.

LTTS ... your 155th post will go down as your greatest.

Whew, thats one way to suck the life out of a light hearted comment.

With all of the over-analysing going on about our form, our players, our club .... this came from no-where,

....not that I am scoffing at you for doing it Billy... B)

No.

Really?

Shoot him.

Go Dees

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
