Bennell is looking good so far

i guess the AFL hasnt changed its stance on players ducking when there tackled jones penalised when player clearly dropped when tackled

Clark doing very nicely - 2 goals already.

He's off! - we're tanking!

Players always go off after a goal... nothing new there (and I do realise you are joking... I hope).

But the umpires are doing poorly with their recent rulings... Hawks player ducks and gets a free, then McKenzie slides into a player and no action taken.

Yeh....I was :)

Some good signs that quarter. Didn't know that Magner could mark that well.

Nor did he :-)

Hate Matthews...very reluctant to give Mitch credit....SHOVE IT UP EM MITCHY!!!!!!

Loving the awkwardness of Mathews having to commentate on this....and everyone else saying how well Clark is doing. Classic.

Fitzpatrick has certainly come on in leaps and bounds... he's having a real go out there tonight and has been quite effective.

You watchin Wallsy!!

Luke Darcy keeps saying "Trengrove" on Triple M. FMD.

Luke Darcy is a total dick.

And Mathews is eating his own words...very, very slowly and only acknowleging Mitch's last 2 weeks.

How awesome is it having Leigh Matthews commentating with Clark kicking 3 goals in a quarter?

If only we had Hudson...

His smother was great. I'd like to see him go for marks with a bit more confidence. At the moment he goes in and looks like he's just trying to make a contest but doesn't actually believe that he can bring down the mark.

Matthews is such a stubborn old pr!ck! Mitch is killing it, however shcoenmakers is a terrible defender.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
