GAME DAY - Round 2

It's amazing. You can full-blown shove someone in the side, but you can't feathertouch them in the back.

Sack Neeld. I've never seen a more pedestrian team than MFC the last 2 weeks. Should not even be playing AFL. Worst I've EVER seen us.

Every time I see Jack Darling I feel ill. Who was the chap we picked before him? Is he even out there?

I'm not sure what the story with Melbourne is. But we are in deep trouble. This is VFL footy, we're literally not in the same league.

How the HELL is Clint Bartram left to defend Dean Cox? Absolute shite defence from the Dees. The only one who wanted to compete was one of the littlest guys on the ground. And THAT is why Clint Bartram won't be dropped any time soon. Because he does what everyone is capable of doing but too few Demons are willing to do.

Tony shaw just said after pettards kick that if a player can't kick 20metres onto a blokes chest with no pressure he shouldn't be playing AFL. I hate to say it but he is right, and that's about half our team

When does the trade period start?

I am planning stasus hibernation till then.

I cannot cope with this.

This is more than gameplan. This is heartless insipid crap.

I do not want to hear any of our players interviewed this week.

TALK IS CHEAP.

We are in trouble as a club. No doubt about it . This playing group is horrific and we can't afford another 5 year rebuild

Even if we were dominating, I don't know if the scores would be much different. The worst umpiring I've seen for a long long time.

Rubbish!! We have played soft football and they are throwing themselves at everything... they deserve most of the frees they have won... we have deserved very little.

Correct. I do not want to hear soft excuses ever again.

This club is staring down the barrel. Sooner we ALL realize it the better.

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
