Casey Scorpions v Williamstown

Featured Replies

At quarter time

CaseyScorpions 3.4.22

Williamstown 3.1.19

Really haven't been able to capitalise on their good play. Watts is doing well.

Casey 3 points up at quarter time. Watts is starting to get a bit of ball and Gysberts is playing well.

Great news - I really would like both Watts and Gys to play the majority of games this year.

Who have kicked the goals?

Watts on the ball

Tapscott up forward kicked a nice goal in first quarter from a one handed grab and

has just kicked his second.

Scored 4.4.28 - 4.4.28

Jai Sheehan playing down back just been moved onto Skinner.

Watts with a great gather evades a would be tackler spears it to Macdonald who kicks a nice snap for a goal

Casey Scorpions 5.5.35 to Williamstown 6.5.41.

Watts hands to Fitzpatrick to take it to 7.6.48 to 6.5.41.

Looks like Neeld has given him specific goals for today and it seems he's meeting them (Neeld smiling when he has it). Tappy back in next week. Grimes showing great leadership. Morton is out there but playing off half back. Couch looking hard, Fitzpatrick is a work in progress but Jai Sheean will have an AFL career.

Half time score

Casey Scorpions 8.7.55 to Williamstown 6.6.42.

Goals Tapscott 2 Fitzpatrick T McDonald Nicholls Salton J Tynan

Possessions Watts 12 Collins Couch Gysberts 11

Josh Tynan is playing forward and looks a likely type scored a goal in the second quarter. Had a shot for goal after the siren but missed.

Tapscott up forward has kicked 2.2

Watts came into the 2nd quarter two important goal assists has moved to half forward

Strauss on the field playing down back hasn't seen much of the ball

Best at half time

Couch - clearance machine

Gysberts - racking up the clearances

Tapscott - going well in his first game back

Fitzy up forward

Macdonald up forward

Gys on the ball

Grimes and Morton down back

Thanks mate, keep up the updates.

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
