Wow....i have just seen this..

Bought a tear of pride...i think i now understand what the Blazer is to this club

WYL I have been around log enough to have seen guys like HM play.

They played in a golden era for the MFC like Brisbane and Geelong of recent times.

I can understand how Hassa Mann feels, I know a couple of his contemporaries personally.

They are very proud of the club and people they played with.

I saw them, their pride is not misplaced.

I am happy they have been presented with Blazers, I am happy that they have been honoured in this way.

They richly deserve it

However it is now half a century ago.

I struggle with how wallowing in events of 50+ years ago helps the players of today or the supporters who want success in 2012 and beyond.

I struggle with how this gets us new members

We have to remember that our glory days are 50 years ago.

It is well and truely time to make some more glory days.

PS I wish I could spell as well as HM played

It is a connection O.D. That Jack Trengove has with H.D. Mann....a link of continuity

Once those wins start rolling it will mean more to our new list.

I hope JT turns into HM mk.2 mate.

I just struggle with how a blazer will do it.

Especially one I dislike

I am glad they both like it as they are the ones that have to.

I am glad they both like it as they are the ones that have to.

Harold Ball was the same age as our new list of players when he died....a young man...

It reminded me of the film "Dead Poets Society" when the kids are looking at the old photos of past students....kids looking at kids

I will agree i think this is the last "Old" tradition the club should have...But i now understand what that Blazer means...Thanks Hassa.

I had his number as a 4 year old on my back.
