Good. That would be a new experience for me dc.

Despite some popular movies .......... flogees , despite worshipping you, tend to dislike you. It is odd.

I can really only rely on The Lads for understanding.

i've never trusted long-necked sheep, uncle. they have a habit of spitting on you for no good reason.

Can one of you wiseheads please tell me how you could not know that you held dual citizenship?

Perhaps citizens of the nation of Dual aren't very patriotic, and like to forget this fact? :D

Thank you Choke for your very helpful input to this thread. I can see that that product could have some practical applications.

Where might it be purchased?

Apparently it comes in different colours too.

For the more adventurous banana storage connoisseur.

Gary Pert just resigned as CEO of Coll. Any chance he'll apply for Lethlean's old position (no, not 'missionary')?

An extremely good question Mr Shadow.

Does Eddy think the buck stops with the CEO?

no but he sure hopes it does

And the disintegration of the filth begins. Ought to be entertaining.

We need to win this game desperately. Hawks with an easy draw are another team making a run at the eight. A few more wins are needed for us to be certain finalists. Win the next two and we are a huge chance.

If we do make it, we need to avoid an elimination final interstate.

On a more serious note, the banana circumciser above, is a horrid invention.

More reasons than usual to win this week.

Well Red,one is that I'm driving the Merc up there and I'd hate to add a few tons to the "greenhouse" without seeing a win.

I also will note that my greeny passenger (well known in these parts) seems happy enough to forsake principle in order to travel in luxury.

Typical greens tactic- riding shotgun in luxury- cap in hand to Canberra .

Reminds me of Thunderbolt and Lightfoot or The cannonball run - I'm not sure which.

Moons Vegan dietary requirements may not be available in the truckstops.

I do hope he doesn't gas up the merc in case I need Bitters to bail me out and pretend to be a QC as he does when driving the Merc for me.

Canberra is an isolated and corrupt place.I feel like they will be accepted there.

Would love to be a fly on the dashboard, listening to the scintillating conversation.

A car trip to Canberra is something to avoid, although the scintillating conversation may pass the time.  I'm surprised Bitters mentioned the Merc as they are so passé these days. I am reminded of Steinbecks comment that "the less we have, the more we are required to boast."

I will definitely need to keep the passengers side window open as i have heard from Biff that Bitters likes to drive whilst marinading in his foul flatulence.

Might end up doing a Special Robert and hitch hiking most of the way.

I know for sure he won't touch my deconstructed lattes or tofu burgers

hitch-hiking first to romsey, moonie, or riding the push bike?

Deadly treadley to Romsey first (leaving soon) then assess the state of the "merc", or shall I more accurately refer to it as the mazda 323. Haven't decided whether I'll hitch from there. Looking likely though dc.

Moonie will need more than bon voyage  dc! I have organised some special (well not to me) Saturday night entertainments.

PS. A message to picketfence . If you arrive at The Manor on Saturday morning you will not be admitted.

I take it you're packing quail, truffles and banana crepes for the trip BBO ?

Better put in some quaffable variety . Be aware of Canberra....its life...but not as we know it !!

Well I survived the road trip with Moonie - just!

I have to say that these Greenies certainly show their true (un green) colours when out and about.

It only took 6 or maybe 8 pots of beer before Moonie starting harassing a group of innocents who were unfortunate enough to be seated in front of us. However, in all generosity I dismissed that anti social behaviour as a reaction to the shitty football result.

The best was yet to come.

I foolishly took Moonie to a halfway decent restaurant in Kingston. While perusing  the menu, Moonie was quaffing reds at a furious rate ...and ... after some time, gave the waitress quite detailed sotto voce instructions.

Well the meal that subsequently arrived would have challenged a starving T-Rex. It was a mountainous platter loaded with the remains of just about every unfortunate critter I could imagine. "Vego"  Moonie ripped into it while simultaneously pouring down sufficient red to douse a bushfire.

Just when I didn't imagine it could get any worse, Moonie decided to join a nearby group who were celebrating a birthday. "Join" is inaccurate - he decided to be MC.

He led several renderings of "happy birthday" and gave, some rather "familiar"  hugs ( read feel ups) to all present females.

I managed to drag him out before the police were called only to have him abuse and vilify an unfortunate taxi driver. It cost me a substantial tip to soothe that matter.

I dumped the drunken sot at the hotel and went to visit some respectable associates at Fyshwick.

FMD!

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

Salem proved to be a valuable contributor as a reliable and solid one-on-one medium-sized defender in what was undoubtedly his most impressive season since the premiership year. He remains a highly capable rebounding option for the Demons as he approaches his 200th game at the club.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

Following an injury-interrupted start to the season, McVee struggled to maintain the standard he established in 2025 as he pursued an expanded role within the team structure. He remained a firm fan favourite and the club had hoped to negotiate a new contract with the former rookie selection from Western Australia, whose partner, Lily Johnson, plays for Melbourne's AFLW side. Those hopes were dashed when he expressed his desire to return to his home state and play for Fremantle. Like all players who have worn the red and blue and are leaving this year, we wish him well in the future.
