Sounding like Roos has had a chat with Trengove about the captaincy. JT has said he would not be unhappy if there is a change as he will do what is best for the team.

I can see Jones and Grimes as Co Captains next year.

I posted similar on the "Dawes for captain thread" Redleg

However I think we are in for a totally new captain, with G and T as vice captains.

Any one notice the AFL has called all the Lions board and challengers to a meeting.

I suspect they are going to end the war up there and run things similar to the dees.

Do it this way guys or get out of town!

Sorry I may be showing my normal disinterest in other clubs unless there a major scandal but are the Bears/Lions at war again?

sick to my stomach TBF

The wrong purple lot won yesterday.

Whats with those Freo Jumpers?

If that is purple then my eyes are in worst shape than I thought!

I am a Newcastle supporter as they wear red and blue so its a good day indeed.

Not that I really into rugby tho but it I had to pick it NC all the way.

Its a sad day when the Shockers get into a GF.

Go Dockers.

Sorry Redleg but clearly you missed a word so I will correct your post as I am here to help.

Go Away Dockers

I am pretty certain we will get a PP now if the Age article today is correct.

It says that the other clubs are against us getting 1 or 3, but seem to concede an end of round 1 pick.

That does leave a compromise of Essendon or Crows forfeited picks.

That would be the middle ground, where the AFL could say we gave some help, but not too much and the other clubs aren't really affected, as it was a forfeited pick.

I am sick of Hawthorn winning and I still remember 87 Prelim and 88 GF. They have had enough success, let the Dockers win their first.

I am surrounder by their supporters and perfer them to be sad and depressed and not happy and crowing.

Have to agree.

Thanks BF on TV I thought they were doggies Red white and Blue

Now I have another team to support through finals although it is a pity about Melbourne (Storm)

No TAC cup grand final on AFL website......No scores.....No mentions at all.....WTF

So much for the AFL's interest in grass roots footy.....Pathetic really.....

Norwood into the SA Grand final after a nine goal win in the second semi.

So far they have won 18 from 21 games this year and finished four wins clear on the top of the SANFL.

Their third grand final in four years, there is a Red and Blue team to be proud of!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

West Perth Falcon just kick East Perth (WCE Reserve team) Butt with over an eight goal win!

First GF win since 2003 and the Clubs 19 Premiership overall.

I lost my voice singing "Its a Grand Old Flag"

I have not been fully dressed in Red and Blue for ages.

I went to the WPFC Clubs GF Function which had a room full of red and blue plus Premiership Flags.

What a Day!

The Red and Blue army is unstoppable!

Next stop the SANFL Grand Final.

The 2013 has been such a great year so far!

LOL

I will as 2014 is the start of the Host Club arrangements again. So I exect either East Perth or Peel Thunder (wooden spooners) to win most of the WAFL Premierships from now on.

Oh well, it should be good to see the improvement in the MFC from next year and here is hoping that a Premiership is just around the corner.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
