I was looking for the MFC party and the Paul Roos party but could not see them.

It's not the home ground that is making it hard for the Dockers, it's the 3 Cats umpires.

Umpire 28 has basically gifted 3 goals to the Cats, with each one claimed not to be a free by the commentators. He is pathetic. The other 2 aren't much better.

Pav and Mayne missing 3 sitters hasn't helped.

Freo should be at least 4 goals up.

It's a joke

The problem with Geelong having such a home ground advantage is that it's greater than the home advantage of the team that finished first. And I don't like Hawthorn.

Cats now in the Hawks side of the draw. One of them won't make it.

In my wildest dreams I never thought we would get to 250 pages on this thread.

The "other one" has slowed to a crawl all but burnt out.

Bananas forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I listened to the press conference.

I was impressed and it takes a bit these days for the MFC to impress me.

Between Mr. P Roos and Mr. P Jackson I think we have something that has not existed for a long time.

We have IMO two people at the top who know what the hell they are doing.

I now have something to look forward too at the MFC.

I am however still fairly pessimistic about our team for 2014 and the next couple of years.

A lot of work is required to make our list into a competitive unit.

The upside is I believe we now have the crew to achieve it.

I have hope this Spring and summer.

Does this translate into less or more single Malt OD?

We have only just begun, there are so many other topics to discuss on this thread.

Has anyone discovered why we accepted Clisby's penalty so that he could play for Casey in the finals and now he is not.

Probably more Bbo.

What the MFC does to Casey in September is the eight wonder of the world to me Redleg.

I still have no understanding of why you would elevate Magner to the senior list and then not play him

That is certainly strange. Now he will probably be delisted.

Where is Clisby, is he injured?

He lost the bet.

Then I say "C'mon the CARDIES!"

(until 1981 the West Perth FC was called the Cardinals then changed their name to Falcons)

I realise that happened TBF

Do you know why they changed?

To better build their band.

As "Cardinal" Red was seen as an old term and a bird of pray "falcons" was more modern term.

We could talk about apples or even pears LOL

PS please don't make the call as it freaks me out hehe

And then there was recruiting. Or as it could be called, "pin the tail on the donkey".

Funny you should say that BBO. Since my admission to a number of Demonlanders, including yourself, regarding my lack of Scotch knowledge, I've endeavoured to expand my vision marginally. Label 5?

Baby steps.

Shiraz is my preferred poison RTG.

Shhhh there are AFL investigators looking into drugs etc.

Our offical line must be that we all drink banana smoothies at the MFC.

PS does anyone know which team Tony Abbott supports?

People tell me the MFC as he the type of guy who will give alot to his mates.

And now we have Roos we need lots of money LOL

My inside sources tell me the reason Abbot beat Rudd was that half the country voted for some guy called Roos. Go figure.

So you are saying as MFC supporters we get to vote more then once?

So are we going to do something special for our 250 page?

I suggest a Banana Party

Everyone must include in their posts the work Banana for a day or so.

Those that don't must shout a round at the get together

Would be nice to see Casey win a final and enjoy a banana in recovery.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
