The second I saw Chandler being showered with milk on tv (by Clarry of course, who I would totally expect such stupidity from) I though "no, that's not right." I've had those thoughts many times over the years and not seen them be righted. We're not letting those stupid things slip by these days, which is so good to see.

Its a precious world where splashing players with Gatorade is okay but milk not okay. The Front Bar lampooned it last night going through an array of alternatives to milk. That isn't any recommendation - it was pretty lame but what's the issue - is milk a non renewable? Did we fail to recognise milk's history of oppression and dispossession? Is milk patriarchal? Teams start games now with a joke - is that stupidity? Should we lighten up and avoid full cream milk?

3 issues are probably relevant to note.

It wasn't just milk, it was specially prepared protein smoothies, made for the players by someone whose job it was to do that, to aid recovery or whatever. Throwing it around was insulting to that person.

It is much harder to clean from the floor, which according to Tracc is the job of the property staff.

It was a bit embarrassing to do it to a young player.

Interestingly all current and former players asked about Tracc's actions in helping to clean it off, said he did the right thing. They all agreed he showed leadership and concern about teammates and staff and  that it was another one percenter and that they all counted in the race to be the best.

PS. Chandler probably wasn't too concerned, but I bet he and other young players watching, were happy that Tracc showed concern for a young teammate. Another small step in building a good culture.

Quite right we wouldn't want the players going off the rails with their revelry.

Id personally give up a milk rinse one percenter for a tackle, shepherd or smother.

Understand what you are saying, but these days certain things have changed.

For example, a few years ago who would have cared less about a player squeezing a team mates bum?

If behaviour can be improved, to the team's benefit, then it is a positive. It may not be as obvious as a long goal on the field, or a screamer over the pack, but it all contributes to a strong, winning, good team culture.

Well we wont get 10-0, unless we start again soon.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
