All is not lost, OD. Here is a timely article on how to keep bananas ...

Have done most of that in the past R and B but that is very short term.

Last time it took twelve months to recover.

As I am very loath to take option 2 so I will have to consider NZ

Yes drastic I know but drastic situations deserve drastic solutions.

You can actually grow your own in Melbourne these days -- saw a banana tree at my local Bunnings the other day. Besides, moving to NZ doesn't sound like a means of increasing banana availability ...

As dc says they import all bananas from south America.

Plenty there last time.

Now forget Mitch Clark retiring, Forget Dawes and his fair floss legs, forget Gawn and his inability to play six games a year, forget low attendances, forget the worst list in AFL history, forget we could not beat time with a stick.

Something really bad is on the horizon.

Cyclone Ita is bearing down on the Queensland banana crop.

Claimed to be as bad as Yasi in 2011

If this happens I don't know what I will do.

There may only be two alternatives that I can see

- Migrate to NZ

- take the ultimate solution to end the pain

We have bananas crops in the West OD

Well you must have kept them in WA in 2011 DF

That works for me.

However as I have had zero success contact her upstairs over the last half century I have no idea about how to contact the dark one.

Anyone have an idea?

I think I saw her last night as we were attacking the keep. She wiped us all out within seconds.

No. All those greedy Easterners had taken the lot.

I think I saw her last night as we were attacking the keep. She wiped us all out within seconds.

Well in that case it is your responsible to make contact with her.

just realised that if and only IF we were a winning club.

this page would not even exist.

so for all the doom and gloom,at best we are in front of other clubs,we have a common join and its catching.

no winning equals friendship and hilarity for us on demonland.

so we are winners in fact, thanks for the friendship everybody.

In actual fact jazza we can thank the unmentionable one.

That is the basic reason for this thread

But leaving aside that person I can thank this tread for maintain my sanity and keeping me interested.

Thanks for the comment I feel like we just won the flag.

Pity they left the head.

true, true bbo

I read some mindless spy novel a few years ago where the villain (an assassin) had had his lower legs amputated. He then had a number of screw on prosthetics available so he could disguise himself as various heights.

BTW. . I hope Biffen doesn't get any ideas!

Those blue rinse Borewood women dont use plastic surgery-

Daisycutter chases the ones who have had hip surgery.

A couple of gins after Wednesday tennis and its game, set, match.

I haven't had any ideas in quite some time.

The medication, along with Demonland has seen to that.

I feel so much better.

Maybe Biff! However, I've also heard he lets down the tyres in their wheelchairs.

Don't be ridiculous ,Daisy would never stoop to chaperoning the disabled for his own pleasures.

Unless there was a sizeable will/dowry involved.

There is no morality in Borewood!!

That all depends on which set of keys you pull out of the bowl.

They can't all be sex-crazed,conservative upper middle bed hoppers.

Aren't their some freaky new wave Christian types as well?

Now, I don't want to derail this thread (is there a thread to this thread to derail?) but I've just made a purchase on ebay and want to know who is with me on this.

I have just purchased " The Samurai" complete series - every episode. Now fess up - who loved this show?

I don't think DC would be overly fussy.

By purchasing I will assume you paid a technologically superior younger person to download it for you.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
