I think the experts will all change their tips for Wooden spooners, to Saints or us and then next week, to the loser of that game.

Dees by a point Redleg.

But that does not alter us as even favourites.

God I don't want the only thing worth talking about in 2014 to be the draft.

Please can we just win a few and finish 15th or 16th.

PLEASE

Updated Report form my Guild Wars 2 Activity (a fantacy world in which the massive losses of my beloved MFC does not matter).

Leveled (80) the Mesmer this week and purchased Asended Armour with ruins as well as full set of jewellery. Also upgraded the colour of his armour to Red and Navy Blue, which the colour of my other two main toons. He looking pretty sexy now in his new gear even for a green sylvari.

However I have been badly beaten up by all the young players in World v World while I am learning the new Mesmer skills. Fortunately when I get a Thief's stabbing me in the back after they shadow jump me my fellow guild members enjoy hunting them down. It stange that they all appear to look like BBO and Moonie's avartas , just smaller and younger versions.

Oh well back to reality and the pain I now continually feel when thinking of the MFC.

Do I have this right so far for the start of the 2014 season. Most of our good players are injuried to the point we have no forward line and the Mid field while better the 2013 is still bad?

Do we need to employ Councillors and Social Works to assist with the fragile nature of the average MFC player this year?

Well back to some thing more enjoyable here is a banana, so the world is not ending yet.

It was going to be a cute picture of a cat cuddling up to a large dog but for some reason the picture did not work.

I think that would be for the best OD LOL

Now that is funny DC and not I not ashamed.

The average age of a gamer in Australia is over 30 (yes that average age).

I play with two Englishmen on a regular basis who were born in the same year as myself.

A guild I was once in was run by a 66 year old Dutch women and I played with a number of 60 plus Australians over the years.

There is even an Australian based Gamers Club called The Older Gamers (TOG) which you have to be over 25 years old to join.Pity that does not mean they are the Mature Gamers thought.

It just another form of entertainment which unlike TV which I watch rarely its in interactive. A great way to destress and forces you to think about other thing then work. Which is alot like DL.

It true that you do need to be conscience of younger players but it so easy to know who they are by how they continue demand help and items for free. IMO it much better to play with mature players although, I as many other gamers have played with many young people over the years.

But the important thing DC is don't just knock something without trying it first and that games are not just designed for children (average age is 30).

Personally I think gaming is great for older people as it allows a level of social contact, keep their mind active (unlike watching passive TV). But in all things in life it should not be the only thing people do or how they socialise with others. Balance is the key.

When with regards to tracking it would be true to say anything we do online may be tracked or screen shot can be taken of conversations which IMO is a good thing. If someone wants to track my gaming activities well they in for on boring time so they may as well buy an account and just team with me.

I hope you not going to comment about my time in the Scouts although I only ever been youth member and that is were I did meet my wife.

My comments about gaming in the thread is because I believe the MFC will have another bad season and as a supporter we will need other outlets to vent their frustrations. It also helps that it appears to upsets BBO and Moonie but that just a bonus.

I was just vacuuming the floor and a thought came to me (yes I know does not happen often ).

I will know when the Dees have arrived as a serious player when the games mean more to me than Demonland.

50 years :(

Depressing

Now that is funny DC and not I not ashamed.

blah blah blah

sheesh froggy, i didn't want your autobiography and a psychological profile

Not at all DC but I did not appreciate your insinuation about my character and your lack of knowledge about the topic.

The AFL should feel ashamed for some of the things they have done to this club and its personnel.

Selectively punishing the MFC and no other club for discussing tanking.

Punishing Dean Bailey.

Putting Chris Connolly out of the game.

Refusing to give us a PP despite 7 years of pathetic football and bowing to the wishes of the strong clubs.

Giving us a draw that makes it impossible to make money.

Allowing GWS to take our number 1 pick off us and sign him less than 1 year after we drafted him, even though I am happy with the end result.

The only positive being help in getting Peter Jackson.

Agree Red

and not calling the Premiership Cup the Melbourne Cup, wait I think some has already stolen that name from us as well.

But they're getting their national comp even if it kills off a couple of the club's in football's heartland.

It is way more important to the AFL that GWS and the Suns prosper than what it is for Dogs, North, Saints and us to prosper WJ

They wont get rid of us.. All hell would let loose

No the robot is not Mrs Frog LOL

There was a joke going around in pre politically correct times about a very useful household appliance that did the washing, ironing etc and then could be screwed on the bed. No doubt someone will recall how it goes.

  • REPORT: Port Adelaide

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.
