Does anyone know if I can get Bananas in Mauritius / Madagascar?

I know the threading is turning into Wong's Chinese Take Away but someone must still like Bananas here!

Interesting side light

Today I commenced the search for a replacement car ( Finance planner says it is time to replace the Henry )

So I looked up the closest Holden dealer on the AHG website ( a new one in South Melbourne )

All very swish and new, a nice young guy descended on me, I am confident he thought he was selling to his grand father.

Especially after he started selling me on the merits of the "Info Centre" in the dash, my case was probably not helped when I said

"Mate I just need a radio and hands free for my phone" He then asked what sort of phone do you have?

When I answered a Blackberry his demeanour dropped alarmingly.

However it picked up again when he realised I knew more about the mechanicals than he did.

An interesting hour I am sure for both of us.

If a Holden makes the short list I will go back.

The reason for this short story is that if AHG was not the sponsor of the MFC I would not have gone to this dealer.

Now on to the Ford and Toyota dealers ( AHG of course )

You lost me at Blackberry sorry OD.

Although the wifes work phone is a RIM Blackberry and she love it more then me LOL

Would not bother with a Ford or Toyota. Ford cars a awful and there something wrong with Toyota Dealership or so I got the feeling when my work last purchased one.

Do they have a Madza or Honda Dealerships?

1 Your wife is obviously a woman of high quality as she likes Blackberries and Fords

2 Both make good cars

3 There are no Mazda or Honda's that turn my top soil.

I don't know OD

Wife does not eat meat nd we are going to a french speaking country.

I may need a Plan C to keep her happy by not eating meat myself

How many ways can someone eat a Banana?

I think your only saving grace TBF is the country is her choice.

So you will not accused of taking her to a country of carnivores.

AS a frog yourself I have not doubt you will be able to suggests lots of Cheese, pastries, Breads and Red wine to keep her happy.

There will also be bananas prepared in every manner imaginable.

PS do you need a bag carrier?

There was a particularly scathing interview on the internet that was so vitriolic it is worth uploading for those that know how.

Something about needing counselling etc.

I know Wongs has been around about 40 years

They are bound to have a bad day occasionally.

Lets hope not on the 27th.

IMO can't go past a Diesel Toyota. Especially a Hilux, landcruiser or Prado - they are workhorses!

BBO has restaurants? Do they serve fried alpacas?

I can beat any preschooler!

Yeah, but can you tell jokes like one...

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.
