Weather is looking poor for GF day. I think that favours the Swans.

They will get rid of a few to fit him in. I was told as well as him they after Caddy, Moloney, Rivers and others. Pretty aggressive, like when they changed Coaching panel.

May be some room if Monfries is moved on to Port.

Heard McPhee is on the move again. He should work for Getaway.

We will get saturday out of the way and then we can get down to the real football, trading and drafting.

Just heard that Dale Roberts is not going to the Draft camp. Clearly trying to fly under the radar.

His father was seen having lunch with one David Cloke!

Picking up some tactics?

This could get very cloak and dagger (PI)

Really enjoy reading the trade speculation. Pity though that a lot of it is just made up and never a chance of happening.

Its really sad we enjoy the off season more than the real one !! :) lol

Knowing our luck some bastard's going to rig it whereby we start to have a real team , with some wins and in so take away all the fun of the off season. It'll happen , just watch. The bastards !!!

One can only hope. I must say that when Bailey was Coach and we knew we were rebuilding, I accepted our plight. This year however has been a disaster. Hopefully we don't see a repeat, as it is finally getting to me.

My feeling exactly Redleg as bb said it is very sad that the best time of the football year for us is between October and February.

I don't think you are Robinson Crusoe I think there are thousands of us who feel the same.

Tens of thousands.

35 odd thousand at last count

Don't agee bb there are a couple of thousand that think we are going along well

and we are all a bunch of pessimists because in 2010 we won 8 games.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
