Is it just me or does this site need more red and blue?

It needs something

I think King is going to be a good coach for us, but he has a ready made excuse for this year if we have a bad season, with so many injuries in the pre season.

Excessive injuries during pre season sounds like a coaching problem 😕 to me.

Bananas and more red and blue should fix it

No, can’t blame coaching for these injuries.

Not been paying much attention to the club this off season so unaware of any current injuries. But I find any problems are either coaching or Uncle Bitters fault. So if its not the coach it must be the latter. His spikes have a lot to answer for.

Happy to blame Uncle.

The old UnclevBitters would not stay so quiet after being challenged like this! 🙄 Hope the old fella is well 👍 and looking after all those Alpacas he has on his gentleman estate? Alternatively, has he become a Collingwood supporter and now actually like us, so he has nothing bad to say about us?

But cannot concede re would ever lower himself to become Collingwood supporter.

It rained here yesterday

Sorry, not sure if this post belongs here but I wanted to ask...

Can you see your tickets on the MFC app?

I checked today and nothing is coming in my app even though I am sure I have linked the Ticketmaster account. Unless the tickets for the season will be visible closer to round 1?

Sorry 😞 I don't use the app and I can't watch live MFC games on a regular basis.

Just saw a music video on YouTube from Playlunch called Keith. Its a laugh and has Barry Hall in it, acting his normal self LOL 😆 😂 🤣 😄

We might have a hard start to the season, with a long injury list, up against the Saints who have only Max King unavailable.

I need to see how we performed against the Tigers and Roos in the two practise matches. We have been easy beats for St Kilda the last two seasons. In case anyone has forgotten we gave up 9 goal lead a few games back to lose. The saints have added some good players. Our additions in the main are kids and we have lost two GF winners add a new coach and learning a new game plan and I am not expecting much this year.

So 2026 will suck for us? Got it!

No, if we get most of our injured players back, I am still optimistic.

I think I would be happy to retire McADam and take John Blight as a key back and if another retired, say Campbell or May, take a punt on Ah Mu.

I think if Ah Mu can be trained up as an AFL player, he could be a chance.

I have spoken too my Viking GODS and they don't hold much hope for 2026 or 2027. Best we can do is in 2028. Who am I to argue 🤔 with the GODS? But maybe Uncle Bitters can, where is the old spiked head man?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
