The Donald and Sleepy Joe provide us all with Moral guidance.

Two fine upstanding Americans doing their best to guide the country in Truth and Light.

I’m shocked at some of the scurrilous accusations being made.

These are good , honest , clean living men.

Especially if you’ve ever visited The Manor in Romsey.

I recall the Democrats, in response to the President having oral sex with a young intern, in the ante room to the Oval Office no less, saying nothing to see here, no problem at all.

Yet when an adult Porn star has sex with a businessman, in a hotel room, 10 years before he becomes President, but of course is a Republican, wow the Democrats are horrified and blow a gasket.

Yes USA politics are back to being juicy again.

BTW does President Biden know what day it is today?

The Dems didn't blow a gasket about the having sex with Stormy Daniels 10 years prior to 2016 election. They object to Trump ILLEGALLY breaching campaign finance laws to cover it up...

Id have thought with your legal mind you'd be aware of this Red..?

Highly recommend Steven Colbert's - evening monologue for the latest crazy from the US political scene...

Todays dose -

allegedly  ...  the democratic voting judge (or jury) is yet to make a decision

of course, it will immediately be appealed either way

anything to keep the trumpster away from campaigning

it would all be so funny if it wasn't real

You must be having a laugh. How could Biden not know what day it was?

He may have some cognitive decline but he's eighty. Trump has it too as we've seen.

But to suggest he doesn't know what day it was is pretty extreme.

I mean unless you were his personal physician you wouldn't be able to make that call.

That trope is as political as anything else out there.

Maybe your right and Biden is mentally unfit for office. I mean he's bloody old when I consider what he has to do . But so is trump so I think we should rule them both out on age alone.

The big takeaway for me is Trumps sheer and blatant LIES about the election being stolen.

Trump has thousands upon thousands of times said the election was rigged.

And yet not once has he or his dubious subordinates have been able to present a scintilla of evidence to support this claim.

Your an educated and smart guy from what I can deduce from your posts. Don't you agree that's it's a lie. A big one told over and over. Lie Hitlers playbook....to just keep telling the lie.

I mean even before he won the 2016 election against Clinton he was on record numerous times saying without it evening happening yet that the election would be rigged.

Surprisingly he won this election 2016 that he called rigged. Again before the event took place. So no surprise for him to say the same in 2020.

Despite him tweeting again again the stolen claim it doesn't change the truth and facts.

Now one could argue that's just Trump being political.

But there was a price to pay for that lie. Thousands of drool ready believers of trump with just his say so marched on the Capitol. Law officers died as a result. People chanted for the Vice President to be hung while members of the house on both sides cowered on the basement.

Now aside from the deaths of law enforcement from just doing their jobs, one of the greatest democratic states died that day.

For centuries other than Lincolns assisnation, the USA has been a beacon of peaceful elections and relatively smooth transitions of power/ governments.

Until DJT lied about results before he was elected and than lied about them when he lost.

So one man's pride and ego cost not only the lives of people but mortgaged a great democracy of the ages forever.

Biden may or may not be fit for office. I get that.

But Trump is excluded on a much bigger basis.

He is literally guilty of black and white.... Treason .

In the height of the cold war in the USA a husband and wife were sentenced to death row for giving the Soviets info about the USA atomic program.

Trumps crimes are on par with such behavior. It's not a question if he's fit for anything it's a matter of him needing to be imprisoned/executed for destroying the America's political system, the faith in it, the lives lost and the esteem the USA has lost around the world.

Okay, I suggest it is time to call a break.

This thread is filed under 'Comedy' and US politics is filed under 'Horror'.

It would be a tragedy to derail the derail thread.

To you and RaulRB, I am neither a Democrat nor Republican supporter and told friends many times, that I didn't know who was worse, Biden or Trump.

Tbh I have learned over the years that political arguments rarely have winners.

I made the mistake of posting on the matter and I will end my involvement here, as this thread is far better and hopefully more entertaining than the way it is starting to head.

I am off to the Manor, to join Uncle Bitters in some of his delicious latest wine cask, "chateau moat circa 2024".

Do you want me to pick you up on the way to Uncle Bitters' Manor, to enjoy his wine cask?

We could have some fun feeding some of the Manor rats to the piranha in the moat.

Then we can watch the Dees belt the Blues on the old black and white 26" tele in the lounge.

The Manor's theatre is quite sophisticated Red and includes special service from my domestic staff.

You , of course, would not be allowed into that sanctum. However, there is a decent telly in the barn.

I think there's a few closet Trumpians here, Paul.

Mind you, we're all a bit crazy on this thread, so Dozey Don would fit in perfectly!

Have I gone too far again?

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.
