No, not a relo Moonie but seems as though he would have been a jolly fine chap.

I'm sure he would have been a big hit at The Manor.

Good advice for all of us, nonetheless.

Everybody seems pretty upbeat on DL this week.

Gill's Coaches' dinner must have gone off well then.

if gil wants to get real state of the nation afl feedback, then he should invite the demonland illuminati around for dinner. it might be too much of shock for him, but

Well that was a fizz !

Put a selection line through Handscombe, Maxwell and Stoinis and start looking for replacements.

A bright light through the series was Carey who must now be in serious consideration for a test birth.

Went out for dinner with the wife and another couple last night and joined by WJ who was solo with his wife away.

I actually thought it was basil Fawlty's restaurant.

The service didn't exist.

No fish or veal as they ran out at 7.00pm.

My wife's meal came 1 hour after the rest of us got ours and was inedible.

WJ and mine came about 20 minutes after the other couple got theirs'.

I actually started to look around for a camera.

As we walked out another table had half the people eating and the other half waiting for their meal.

Lastly we spoke to another table who had been waiting over an hour for something to eat.

I should have gone into the kitchen to say hello to Basil and Manuel.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
