Big game this week .

Huge game this week in reference to the ladder .

Log jam of sides including us on 22 points looking at a spot in the 8 .

Richmond would love to take us down , not only for the 4points .

They wanna prove that they can take us without the prime draft picks .

Like North , got abit of an inferiority complex they do .

If we can match thier intensity , this will be a cracker game .

concur, have no idea why they decided their spat was against us,bewildered!

Yes this is a massive game. The media will also build this one up. Saturday afternoon at the G, big crowd. Really is a big game for Dean Bailey. He really needs to get the players up for this one, thought he did a brilliant job yesterday and the message to get the ball inside 50 quickly got through. Garland is important and I hope he plays. Jamar will be good to come back, but may play more forward with Martin playing so well.

Get the feeling it will be a finals type atmosphere and think Sylvia and Mckenzie will dominate.

cant wait to see jordie mckenzie run with dustin martin, will be an interesting match up, and i reckon the dont argue will be less effective when the takling machine is trying to grab a hold of him!

This game is not big, it's huge.

i still remember Round 22 1998....i think that's when Richmond started this modern dislike for the MFC

Great call. Jordie V Martin will be a cracker. We will smash Richmond. Lets dine out on some Tigers.

The return of relevant games began with Hawthorn last year.

We get our second one under Bailey this week. And the next week.

Looking forward to it.

That's because a Melbourne player, and I think it was Stinga - but not certain- , siad that the Richmond team were arguing amongst themselves and he called them the Richmond netball Club. Farmer took mark of the year from memory. Won by 12 goals.

Looking at the week ahead I'd say this is match of the round. Richmond is in good form and we've just smashed freo, we're also staring to gain a few players back while the likes of Stef Martin have relished the extra responsibility.

I can't wait to see Jordie line up on Martin, that will be an awesome battle.

Really pumped for this one, reckon it'll be a bumper crowd too!

don't remember stinga's remark, but i was at the game, Superb start to 3 great games....could have won it that year.....

And maybe Steph to pushback into the Hole. Or the Ruck to do so?

Sweepers with speed needed this week, a bit like the Dons game. Exit mortein. Bring in Mr Sheen!

Push Up King to miss, probably makes it a lot easier defensively - Bartram on Nahas, dunno who their replacement for Push Up would be

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.
