GAME DAY

Hope we get flogged now it will teach us not to be so damn complacent

Harvey goal because Davey's kick didn't carry to Jurrah ... so many fundamental mistakes today.

those sh!t kicks are more common than people think, he has lost his way...

Brad Green got a free kick for head high contact. Gets the ball and looks up. No one is moving for him and he simply shrugs his shoulders and looks like he is going to cry.

our leaders only appear when [censored] hits the fan... another week of melbourne players and coaches talking crap to the media giving excuses. This team has gone from strength to NOTHING.

JOKE SIDE...

What`s a joke is afl.com. It`s fricken 3.20am in Brazil and I can`t get a live stream (audio) of this game, all because afl.com dominates the free to air commentary through 3AW and Triple M by defaulting it back to its web page, such that one cannot stream the commentary.

I feel like flying back to Oz, heading to AFL HQ and kicking those dead----s in the head personally. Dead set, those incompetent, black sunglass wearing tyrants make Libya look like a well functioning democracy ...

so do i

Gonna have to go back to basics and have a tough week on the track this week. We need to put in four full quarters. Need to start playing for each others. Any more I've missed? Just thought I'd write Baileys presser for him.

Bailey and the players should hand their collective heads in shame, I am sick of these [censored] crap performances but a JOKE SIDE.

Nothing has changed in the mindset of the players.

Takes a roast in the media to lift, and next week back to the same old [censored].

I don't care who was out, we were five goals up now they are smashing us.

as long as he doesnt say "their a pretty good team North"

Oh.... if he says that, I'm gonna blow my bloody top!

Our forwards are getting shocking delivery.

Norths superior midfield players are simply too good for us again.

Moloney has been tagged out of the match. Dunn has had the worst game i've ever seen him play.

Jetta is simply too small. Gysberts needs another preseason, Wonna is not fit enough.

Positives-

Maric has been good with limited opportunity

Jurrah has been good without being great.

Newton has played well.

If I were able to attend today I would be BOOOOOING off the Demons, such a poor performance.

Add Sylvia to that and you're on the money. Also Jones to a slightly lesser extent

It hasn't been great. Its nothing like the west coast game.

attendace 23,500

Good work. That's the spirit.

At least I am showing more spirit than the Demons out there on the field.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Jurrah just get the handball off then. Screw the umpires round. They're useless.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

  • PREGAME: West Coast

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
