answer is to kick it like a rugby player...kick it high so you can get to the contest yourself..no need to kick it 50 metres to the opposition

Could these commentators call the [censored] game? I have no idea what that free kick was for.

We are looser than a hooker on new years eve....

lol

Do we have only one kick out strategy???

The fact Sylvia just had no one to kick too sums up our coach. There's a reason Schwab didn't praise him, there's nothing to praise him about.

Trying to play a game plan that doesnt work for us, and not being able to adapt as good coaches need to.

Have not seen one of our leadership team step up and try and get us going.

Watts, Martin and Bail the only highlights.

Where is the desire and heart we saw last year? Where is the pride in the jumper?

This hurts too watch, it really does.

It looks like a training drill and the Dees are the witches hats.

I'll say it again its another game closer to a new coach.

We have too many player with potential, action speck louder than words

i AM SO SICK TO DEATH OF FOLLOWING A PATHETIC TEAM

This is as bad as most games in 2008.

Bailey's gonna have to do some amazing things to turn it around...

This is disgraceful, I think we need to get eye checks for all or perhaps a more obvious 'clash' jumper, with how much we are pinpointing the eagles.

Still no [censored] idea in kicking out. Same kick allllllllllll day long.

They know our kick outs, it's like waterboy where the coach is looking in the coaching for dummies booklet and knowing the other coaches (the fonz, bailey in this case) game plan.

Man on man football ffs!

If this doesn't stir a a passionate response from Bailey I DON'T WANT HIM COACHING MY CLUB!

Any chance we can stand next to the opponent?

or at least near...

Do we have only one kick out strategy???

quick answer yes....using the word "strategy" loosely aren't you?

cant wait for bailey to tell us how good the opposition was like the hawks game

I am just sick of this...........

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
