Gysbterts off?!! WTF?!!! Yeah great thinking Bails, take a clearance player off...

Worst. Team. Ever. (Tonight)

We donated money to get this club back on it feet, well its about time the players give us something back.

Total disgust!!

GYSBERTS OFF? A mid for Dunn, when we have Bennell, Green and Aussie all playing like [censored]?

Bailey literally has no idea what he is doing.

Over it. More because my bloody father keeps yelling the same crap at the telly and I tell him to shut up and he won't.

I've watched the first quarter and five minutes of the third and can't watch any more.

- We cannot get out of a zone when kicking out of defence.

- We cannot hold a zone when defending a kick out by the opposition.

- Our under pressure handball is the worst I've seen, ever.

- There's no FIGHT. Christ. That first quarter, we rolled over and DIED. I watched us play better football in 2008 when we got trounced.

work is going to be so much fun tomorrow

anyway if we don't improve dramatically for the rest of this game and the season then Bailey is gone.

well Melbourne wanted to make a statement with this game....they have !!!

Yeah, the statement of 'sack Dean Bailey'.

I don't care if it's too early. That's the third pissweak performance I've seen out of this team this season. I'm over it. I want blood.

Tapscott is gonna get suspended one day for being a little too rough once the ball had gone past (could even cop a suspension from tonights game, considering Cyril got a game for what he did...)

We have never had enough tough nuts in our side. To many pretty boys (as the saying goes)

Thats the thing. All talk no follow though.

mmmm Bailey needs to take Barry Prendergast with him when gets sacked. He recruited these weak Carnts!!!!!

Well that sums up the night and our forward line. Rivers having a shot at goal???

absolutely none !! sad really

I just want blood to run through this club. I want there to be passion. You'd think loses like this were behind us. Words mean nothing any more. Start playing for what you want. We need a Paul Roos and Mick Malthouse. We need one badly.

You're spot on.........and it's the influential supporters who donated large sums of money who won't sit idly by and watch this garbage!

Bailey is in deep deep trouble.

Is Jurrah playing tonight?

And then Schwab take $140,000...

its ok really

we just dont have an effective forward line, midfiled or backline . Nor any decent coaches...other than that we're fine..all is well ..go dees !! ffs

well Melbourne wanted to make a statement with this game....they have !!!

The criticism of individual players is warranted. But if we can take any consolation out of this, it is that we know our list is better than what is being shown tonight. Maybe we aren't good enough to beat this team at Patterson Curse stadium, but we are better than this.

So why such basic errors? My theory is there is no confidence within the group and a lack of belief or understanding of the job that is required to be done. So who's fault is that?

I leave you to ponder it as I am now going to bed, as I have to be up at 4:00am to catch a flight to Perth for a work engagement? I won't be taking my "Fitzroy" scarf either.

Cheers

Is Jurrah playing tonight?

Not many players are Playing tonight.

  • REPORT: Port Adelaide

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.

The Demons have the Bye next week but then are on the road once again when they come up against the Gold Coast Suns on the Gold Coast in what could be a last ditch effort to salvage their season. Who comes in and who comes out?

  • POSTGAME: Port Adelaide

The Demons simply did not take their opportunities when they presented themselves and ultimately when down by 25 points effectively ending their finals chances. Goal kicking practice during the Bye?
