Then what happens when we go out and spend $6mil on coaching staff and the same happens??? Who do we blame then???

What we are seeing tonight wouldnt happen.

As a rookie poster can I ask anyone here - what the hell was Bailey doing after the 2010 season when Collingwood won a GF based on forward pressure and moving the ball OUTSIDE of the corridor??

I know what Worsfold and Hird were doing.

Quick, after the game, get moloney out on the [censored] and back in th epaper, might actually get a kick.

We are making their old players look good

and their kids into stars.

everyone is startin to see thro baileys talk

Its all a facade, he has no idea. Bailey, try watching the game instead of your magnetic board!!

Morton should not be playing. In the side on potential only!!!!

What do you say about that kick Morton?

So Petterd and Joel Macdonald arnt good enough to get a game with us??? As least they have a dip!

add Maric and Warnock how lucky are they not to get a run!

There is four changes for next week straight off the top.

Green and Sylvia continue to pass it off when they are on the 50, no confidence in having a shot what so ever.

The same can be said for Essendons players in that range last year and now look at them

took a change of coach !!!

Maybe the game plan is keep handballing til they get it? Interesting philosophy, but its how it looks at times.

Can we trade Morton?

a straight swap for Darling, Eagles would go for it I am sure!

Morton no pressure outy of bounds on the full...col sylvia no pressure misses green lead...is bailey to blame

5 on 1 in Melbournes 50. Demons are [censored], what has changed in the last 4 years? Nothing...

homage to miller

Just of a 14 hr shift, back at work at 6am and I'm still watching this crap. God I"m tragic !!

Watts back with courage, could have held the mark, but Glass hit the body and arm enough. Great to see tho.

Tapscott is gonna get suspended one day for being a little too rough once the ball had gone past (could even cop a suspension from tonights game, considering Cyril got a game for what he did...)

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
