I'm giving The Master 24 hours from now to get on board - 10:30am Tuesday 2/12 - otherwise his place is taken by first emergency Mr Reims.

I've PM'ed him.

I reserve the right to make up the rules as required as we go along ....

Just so everyone knows MrReims and titan_uranus are sweating beads, holding their breath for a call up to be a part of this draft created by old55. :)

It will be interesting to see how we build our sides - will it be the strength of the spine first or the mids first ? Or build from the backs first ? Hmmmm.

Some very hard decision to be made. Best available versus needs. Gun KPF's are a bit light on to spread around 10 sides. And when to pick that player from West Coast? Leave it too late and you'll end up with a full on hack in your side!

As old55 alluded to earlier...same goes for Essendon.

This is how fantasy teams are done on the US.

More fun than the way Hun do it.

Only one person can get Ablett, one person Judd etc.

If someone wrote a program for it they would be rich!

Well, maybe not but they would get laid!

Maybe not...

Make people happy for a bit though.

Does exist already.

There was a thread started here where someone linked to a site that does the proper draft system. And it's free (as opposed to others which charge).

I can't for the life of me remember the URL. I'll go look for it.\

Edit: I think this might be it: http://www.ultimatefooty.com/

Well I'm surprised if this is the first time it has happened to date on demonland.

I think this will need to become a yearly off-season fixture in the flat spot between the ND and the PSD.

You do understand there is no resolution in that time?

I mean it's 'yay, I'm making a team' and then the next feeling is 'what the hell was the point of doing that so early?!'

I'll check out that ultimate footy thing - i'll be in for a DLand one (we might have to have a couple).

I don't want to derail this thread, so I suggest it continues on seperately from the Ufooty one.

But for future reference I have the following down for 2011 ultimate footy. Draft order TBD.

eth38 was interested. old55?

No thanks, don't like FF.

Probably a good idea to take it to another thread.

Yes we're waiting on The Master and he has until 10:30am tomorrow to get on board - I've PM'ed him.

Once we get going I reckon we'll fly.

already have my barry prendergast style list formed

Thanks for the idea. Creating a draft message to myself - best way to do it on Demonland as there's no private notes feature I know of.

After sustaining a torn ACL in the final match of the 2023 season Jake added a bit to the attack late in the 2024 season upon his return. 2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence. The first round draft pick at #13 from twelve months ago the strongly built medium forward has had an impressive introduction to AFL football and is expected to spend more midfield moments as his career progresses. The move of “Disco” to a key forward post looks like bearing fruit. Turner has good hands, moves well and appears to be learning the forward craft well. Will be an interesting watch in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #13 Clayton Oliver

Lack of preparation after a problematic preseason prevented Oliver from reaching the high standards set before last year’s hamstring woes. BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

Melbourne’s most important player who dominated the first half of the season until his untimely injury in the Kings Birthday clash put an end to his season. At the time, he was on his way to many personal honours and the club in strong finals contention. When the season did end for Melbourne and Petracca was slowly recovering, he was engulfed in controversy about a possible move of clubs amid claims about his treatment by the club in the immediate aftermath of his injury.
