One way traffic in Arizona so far this morning. Sounds like the Broncos have more fans than the home team.

It was like watching the Rams under Fisher...

Hyde to Jags!

Strange... sure their bac’ up is getting more yards on a lot less carries but that will change when he is the only back and in obvious carry situations that Hyde would have taken and for only a 5th round!!! Jags got a steal in my opinion.

My tips for week 7 - Patriots, Vikings, Rams

Agree, I think that's a big win for the Jags, given they know their offence stinks without Fournette so they need someone to be able to capably run the ball.

My tips ... Pats,  Vikings,  Rams

Funny trade, signs a 3 year 15mil contract with the Browns and then he’s gone. Granted Chubb is performing better than expected.

Very good get for the Jags. I think a power runner will suit them. As long as he stays healthy, can be injury prone.

2 minutes after writing that Jags bench Bortles!

But still stink. Worse than one of Van Houtens'.

Looks like nearly everyone (possible everyone) is getting points this week. Barring a disaster in San Francisco.

Points allocated!

How about the end of the Dallas game? Crazy stuff with the snap penalty and the FG smashing into the upright. Made quite a noise too.

A few great finishes actually... Ravens one blew me away. And the Browns one.

Yeah,  there were a number of standout moments today ...

  • Titans going for the win instead of taking the game to overtime with a converted point after.  In such a tight division that decision was quite questionable.
  • Rams & KC careering away from the rest .. both look morals for the 1 seed in each conference.  Saints & Pats are close enough but the top 2 will need to start losing.
  • Eagles lose again ... 3 & 4 now and in a bit of trouble.  Panthers staged an excellent comeback though and they might be alright too.  Washington keep winning.
  • Vikings are well and truly back on track and they should take out the NFC North unless they slip up or unless the Packers can win against the odds in the next 5 weeks.
  • Chargers win again and go to 5 & 2.  They should be able to secure a wild-card but a division win will depend on KC slipping up.  With Mahomes playing lights-out as he is,  that's not likely

Just finished watching the highlights, suicidal snap penalty. Pushing it back to a 52 yarder. Hits the upright, Cowboys lose, all is good in the world.

By the way I’ve officially had enough of Cris Collinsworth. I will be watching all Sunday night games with the sound down from now on.

Amari Cooper traded to the 'Boys. For a first round pick it seems.

Really? I like those two.

I miss Mike on MNF.

Love Al. Used to not mind Cris but all I ever hear from him now is the following line:

"Here's a guy who *insert point being made here*".

I also miss Mike. Underrated.

The browns found a new way to lose a game, I truly feel for their fans.

I don't so much. They've got a lot to love about that team now. They're in much, much better shape already. I'll be watching them fondly over the next 3-5 years. Chubb taking over at RB a good move too. And I really like Mayfield.

Very pleased with this as an Eagles fan. A bit worried about what it does against NFC East oppo this season, but he wasn't as big of a deal to the Eagles going forward as he would be to Cowboys. Howie offered a second rounder, which is as high as I'd have wanted him to go... With Alshon, Ertz and Agholor I don't think he'd have made enough of a difference. Force Cowboys to give up a first for him... I reckon everyone wins in this one. NFC East is a dumpster fire this year, but it got interesting, at least, with that signing.

Just did a lazy ladder predictor. A bit too early probably, but I still like to get a rough idea... based solely on what we've seen so far...

NFC:

North: Green Bay win the Div over the Bears who get the wild card. Min a wasted season on 8-7-1

South: Saints all the way 14-2.

West: LA go 16-0 (they probably don't but it won't matter). Gurley to be rested for last 2 weeks. Seahawks get the other Wild card with 10-6. Redskins and Panthers probably the big challengers there.

East: Eagles and Redskins are two months away from a week 17 fight for the NFC East crown. Winner goes through 9-7.

AFC:

North: Ravens clinch. Steelers get wild card. Or the other way round. Cincy struggle as the season goes.

South: Houston will play Jax for the crown in week 17. I take Houston.

East: Patriots... yawn...

West: Arguably the best Div in football.. KC 13-3, Chargers 12-4 for the wild card.

Hard to argue with that Dappa, except we won’t go 16-0

we will drop a few games, have Packers, saints and. Chiefs in the coming weeks. Can’t see us winning them all.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
