Can't get over Goff... 17 less attempts than his oppo QB, and still got 43 more yards...

That was a cracker of a game. Probably the biggest of the season so far.

Yeah,  top class game between 2 very good teams Dappa.  You've got to wonder how the Vikings could possibly lose that badly at home to the Bills?

Costly loss as next up for Minnesota is at the Eagles.  And if one of the NFC North teams can get on a roll then the Vikings could easily be playing catch-up for the season. Mind you,  I don't believe that the Packers,  Lions or the Bears are all that great.  But you never know.

As for the Rams,  who's gonna stop 'em?  Their defense gave up points but their offense is supreme with Goff at the helm.   And the Vikes were always likely to score with their good offense.

That's exactly where we're at. A notch or two ahead of all 31 other teams...

An ex-player on Sportscenter was saying that their defense has a few weaknesses - more so in the secondary but that might be injury related.

But all the teams get injuries so it is not a singular reason - unless that injury is to a gun QB where the back-up is way below ordinary.

The Rams will now be the hunted though so they will get dissected by all ... but having a wise-head like Wade Phillips to support their young coach is an excellent situation for them.

They are the team to beat in the NFC,  that much is true

Yeah that's probably the only obvious area. Maybe their OL? they certainly dominated tonight though.

My tips ...

Philadelphia,  Seattle,  KC

Just watched the game, pretty stoked with our O. Some of the throws by both QBs were A grade.

D stood up when needed, think the one thing Wade will be harping on was the missed tackles. We had quite a few today.

4-0 gotta be happy.

Get stuffed Fisher!

That was the only thing execution wise I could find. The Thielen TD where just just pushed through...

You can surely put that down to injury though.

Gee Goff was absolutely superb. Two to Kupp and the Woods one were just great.

A day off and I still can’t watch a game of football! :(

I did just watch the extended highlights though. HUGE win for the Rams. I haven’t liked a divisional rival this much for a long time!

Jared Goff, you can really see why he was renowned as a great deep ball guy at Cal. Amazing.

Paging @Dr. Gonzo  @titan_uranus  @DeeSpencer

Remembering we're looking for road winners only ... the games are listed in an above post.  Good luck!

From here on in every odd numbered week carries bonus points - week 5 carries 2 points for instance.  We get another classic match-up with SNF this week and the MNF game is a good match-up too.

If you don't get this message in time I wouldn't be too concerned ... we're all still sitting on zero points and tomorrow's games are tough.

Haha sorry mate just saw this now! Is it 3 road teams every week? If so this week I'll take

Saints, Chiefs, Ravens

Not quite Dappa

Unless you've inked in the KC win ... are we all Denver fans all of a sudden!

And what were the Colts thinking?  Crazy!

Ah yes, sorry...

Colts? I didn't see? Something about a 4th down?

With the scores tied and with less than a minute to go in overtime the Colts elected to make a play on a 4 and 4 on their own 43 yard line.  The play was broken down,  Houston then got the ball back on downs and a play later scored a field goal.

They should have punted and been happy to take the tie.  But maybe their thinking was that it's wins or nothing with 2 of their division rivals now sitting at 3 & 1.

Ah I see. I was thinking maybe it was end of regulation, in which case dumb...

But yeah. Bit of the Dougie coaching tree in there...

If it was later in the season you'd maybe understand the call but a half a win can act as a win with the tiebreak rule.   They possibly don't see the Texans as a threat so a case could be made.

I would have taken the tie though .. they are now 1 & 3 and staring down the barrel in that division.  Reckon it's the Jags division to lose the way they're playing.

Agree.

After Eagles gave up their 3rd fourth down in overtime for stupidity, I was praying for a tie. So yeah, there are situations.

Yeah saw that. Game on...

OMG, just watched the Titans v Eagles game, can't believe we got up, especially after quite possibly the most boring game I've ever seen last week against the Jags. Titan Up!

  • REPORT: Port Adelaide

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.

The Demons simply did not take their opportunities when they presented themselves and ultimately when down by 25 points effectively ending their finals chances. Goal kicking practice during the Bye?
