Question for you all.

Brady or Rodgers both at their best.

Late to the party, but I take Rodgers.

I actually take Manning over the period when I fell in love with NFL. Had him just ahead of Brady. Both had already done enough to be first ballot hall of famers when I watched my first game. But there's really no denying what Brady's done. For so so long... Manning in his 40th year was throwing ducks all over the place and had a great defence get him over the line. Brady won the MVP and I watched him throw 500 yards in a superbowl at the same age.

That said, I have the same "Rodgers under Belly" theory as some people. I just love watching him play. In a way I don't with Brady.

It's a great question... which prompts the next one... Brady 5 rings... Rodgers 1. Underachieved?

Yes and no. Mainly yes but he has copped injuries a few times which has halted the packers. And the fact the packers have never seemed to get a ver good running back and oline for Rodgers still astounds me, they have always been decent but always relied on Rodgers scrambling to get them out of the shite.

Broncos were good in NFC too.

Yeah that's a good point. As a single player should he have won more superbowls? Maybe. Could he have played better individually? Hmm. That would be a hard case to argue.

Broncos NFC?

No,  Rodgers has overachieved.

Much like Robbie Flower did at the Demons.  Robbie would have gotten into the team of the century if our team had have had more success.  The cruel reality.

The Packers have underachieved in more rrcent times but it's not like we've been a basket-case.  Many NFL fans of poorly performed teams are probably envious of Green Bay.

But from an overall perspective it is different again #13  # Green & Gold ??

At their best is Rodgers because he can scramble, he can avoid rushers and throw bombs, he can do anything.

That said, if I had to start from scratch with both players aged 30 and I had a good defense and special teams and enough money to buy some quality offensive players but not break bank I'd go with Brady. Here's why: Obviously any QB is reliant on their scheme and coaching, but I think it's easier to create the system Brady plays in and it's safer for the QB.

This is nitpicking and most will disagree with me but I think Rodgers isn't as easy to coach as people think. I'm not saying he has a good coach, I don't think he does, but he shredded the Bears just staying in the pocket and putting his receivers to work when he had to. He should do that more often but I think he likes to scramble around and make the big plays.

The knee injury could be a blessing in disguise for Rodgers because he should play more like Brady. Develop insane chemistry with a small group of receivers and receiving backs and just take what's there mechanically marching down the field.

The obvious thing to say there is McCarthy isn't Josh McDaniel's so it's not that easy but I think Rodgers has played at too high a level for too long for any half decent coach to not create a system based on his timing and accuracy if he wanted it.

8 lots of tips in so far ... A shout out reminder to @DemonDave @titan_uranus  @layzie  & @Dr. Gonzo

Remembering that 2 points are on offer this week.

Start of the 4th of the early games and some crazy score lines already, got to see if they stay the same way.

Led pretty much the whole game... just can’t seal it.

Vikes ice the kicker and the FG is no good!

But Rodgers getting them in range in 31 seconds with no time outs was huge.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
