It's just a link on the home page at afl.com

I'm not sure then, it's working fine for me. You might be missing a plug-in or something

you need to see the Pause symbol and then it will work

it took me a few times to get this so keep trying

i can hardly hear Tim at all!

Had to go up and down on the volume!

Not a great interview.

Pick 32 for Hale and Warnock is a required player and isnt going anywhere.

Essentially going to be asking about David Hale, and un-contracted Matthew Warnock.

Talking about the pursuit of Hale

Harrington says it is going pleasingly; they're still working hard on it, and so far so good.

Melbourne will not be trading pick 12, for 17 hale and their late pick.

Melbourne will only trade pick 32 for Hale.

He doesn't want to get caught up in the chase, and make any rash decisions about what extra picks they're going to give.

Harrington is confident the role Hale could play at Melbourne will open up his game style, and play more of an up and front kind of forward. Says Melbourne need a tall marking forward.

Says the new AFL rules make a massive difference when it comes to choosing a tall player, both positively and negatively.

Harrington says Warnock is required. And not many people have inquired about him.

That's all, really quick interview.

Main points;

* North have been offered our 2nd round pick for Hale, and that is all.

* Warnock is a required player and get the impression that it will cost other clubs a lot to get him.

Only other thing about Hale, I don't think that will be our final offer. TH didn't say as much, but he said about being aware of what we expect to give up, and not to let emotions get in the way. But also mentioned about it being a long process and that you have to start somewhere (not quoted but that's what I picked up).

That's about all he spoke about.

Thanks very much. I could not get the radio thing to work either.

Common sense prevails, we're not getting cought in an Ahab and his wHale scenario.

"Market value" is such a meaningless concept. It essentially is dictated by what the most desperate club is willing to give away and on this occasion it looks like we have drawn a line which responsible clubs do and not try and rationalise a rediculous trade with "market value" in mind.

Big question now is will our 2nd rounder do the job? Hawks look set to beat that if they still have their comp pick. It would have been nice if they asked Harrington about the likelyhood of including a fringe player which is about all I could see them doing as a last resort.

12 is sacred, all Hail pick 12.

Alright lads, here my community service for the year.

On David Hale:

- talks progressing pleasingly

- have been into Hale for a while

- the swap of the first round pick 12 to North for 17 is bollocks

- currently all that is on the table is pick 32

- did mention you have a start point of what you are willing to offer as well as an end point should other clubs i.e. Hawthorn provide competition

- not worried about the Hawks, focus on only what you can control

- Harrington coming from North using personal knowledge about the player

- also feel that whilst Hale is physically at his peak, the role he would play at Melbourne may provide a boost to career

- Dees predominately a lead up forward line at the mo, want to create some front and square opportunities for goal

- new interchange will require flexibility from players, Hale has this

- Hale is an accurate kick

On Warnock:

- very brief

- required player

- has not been asked about too much

- some clubs have been asking bout the availability of J Watts and J Trengove.

Reckon there are plenty of other deals which are in the pipeworks that he wouldn't discuss, these are the two which are out in the public domain.

I heard today from a mate with Puma contacts that Melbourne are into Gilham from the Hawks and are offering up Rivers....thought Rivers 2nd half of the season was pretty good, though Gilham quite bit younger, my 2 cents reckon we would win outta this given age and Gilham provides more run outta defence.

Harrington was brilliant, we are in great hands. Thank-you

However, as said yesterday. Hutch you fat [censored] got it wrong again. :)

Rivers (Oct '84) is actually a few weeks younger than Gilham (Sept '84)

I would have doubts about that. Bailey is a fan of Rivers, and his leadership.

Is Gilham taller? Faster? Better kick? Come to think of it, does Gilham have any advantages over Riv?

This one doesn't sound right either.

Love to know which clubs asked about the availability of two of the Jacks. Tongue in cheek methinks?
