Jack was good this season. Did plenty of nice things. Next season is a big one for Jack. Will we see him start to win games for the dees? Perhaps we will.

Watt's belief will definitely play a huge part in how quickly he comes on. I was excited to see him develop that

Gumbleton has had injuries but his kicking! It's is truly horrible - how someone could get through junior football these days with an action like that is incredible. There's a big question mark using a top 3 pick on a KPF who simply cannot kick. Jack Watts is a great kick - we don't have any worries there.

I predict that next year we'll reach our 1000th Jack Watts thread on Demonland.

Jack is looking a lot more comfortable at AFL level but I think he pushes up the ground too much spending more time around the midfield than the forward line. I know it's a trend of the modern game for most forwards to move all over the ground but I think it would work out a lot better having Watts predominantly up forward.

Get fit and run out games strong is what i want.

Skillsets are there. Question is the mind and his desire to be the best.

This year I think Jack learnt how hard you have to work. His use of the ball when in hand was sublime, his skills below his knees outstanding for one his size. Would love to have seen clunk a few big grabs and kick a few more goals but that will come with confidence size and more games.

Watts is a great kick - we don't have any worries there.

His kick is, at times, absolutely amazing. If he was ever to hit the same level of fitness as Riewoldt, and work that hard... The quality of his kick could put him ahead of Roo. Obviously he has a long way to go, and a lot of hard work to do to get anywhere near him...

There have been a number of times I've seen Jack running into fifty, under the pump and looking like he might get chased down from behind. And to make matters worse he'd need to deliver with his non-preferred left boot. Then he places the ball beautifully into a nest of opposition straight down the throat of a leading player. People have had varied responses to a lot of things with him. His work ethic, his hardness at the footy, his contested marking... But what I love is that he'll never have trouble with how he kicks. Like everyone, he'll miss a few, but the class by foot is there. And in modern footy, when you talk about skills, this is by far the most important one.

I think Watts improved a lot and was one of our best players towards the end of the year. In 15 games he kicked only 10 goals but a lot of his work was done outside fifty and was even a good link up player in the midfield at times. He usually kicked one goal a game and even though there were games where he didn't get many touches he still did the one percenters. His games against St.Kilda in Round 14, Brisbane in Round 18 and Richmond in Round 19 were his best.

Is a fantastic kick, and uses the ball well almost all the time but just needs a bit more awareness and strength. Certainly had a better second half of the season than Naitanui did...
