What is Petterd worth?

That's a rare thing. A sensible post.

Nobody, including Freak can say he's going. Likewise, nobody can say for sure he's staying. Things change VERY quickly. Let's say the Ablett thing falls through, they'll have more money to throw at uncontracted players then, and suddenly the landscape changes. We're MONTHS away from an answer here I think.

Yeah, contracts, but from a GC-17 perspective, the players they're interested in are evaporating as the season wears on. I;d say they would have to have there Main signings done by now, or its nearly, 'The ship has sailed time',,, The GAblett thing, you'ld think, must be sealed, one way or the other, by now, or there won't be any Marquee player.

Newcomers to Demonland! You have experienced one of the mysteries of Demonland...

Freak is the anti-oracle.

It's cruel to kick a guy when he is down but I really hope he bags every player we have, tells us the coach has no idea and that there is no hope of a flag in the next 5 years.

Yeah. That's one thing that's hurting them as time goes on, that SO much hinges on the Ablett thing. I reckon you're right, the fact that everyone around him is signing at their original clubs shows perhaps that the money they're getting isn't all i's cracked up to be, ad that Ablett may have already cleared off with the biggest piece of the pie.

Interesting times.

PS...

How much do we all love Ricky right now? One of the most important signings of the last 5 or so years for mine. Probably the happiest I've felt that we retained a player since the time Ooze was on the move to the Blues. (That should probably make me nervous, but it doesn't).

Yeah I think GAblett jnr is a dunn deal, & there's probably more... Our case I think is different that our players can see the quality were accumulating, 7 realise the high Potential of success for our list going forward. It's a youthfull & vibrant place to be right Now with things falling into place allover, around us ATMO.

A great thing for a young guy, to be associated with. Thanks Juddy.

However, think about GWS,,, how hard will it be for them to draw a Marquee player or two from the existing competition as teams will be locking them away contractually.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

We'll break down the Match SIM against North Melbourne and wrap up the preseason with insights into training and our latest recruits.
