when is our luck going to change? i mean i don't expect us to play finals this year, all i want is steady improvement from the young guys. but so many of them have missed large chunks of development time. Blease will miss the better part of 2 years, garland missed a year, aussie missed a year, tapscott, jurruh and gawn all missed 6 months, petterd is out, morton missed half a year. there are probably more that i can't think of...

just disappointing, the amount of development that these guys could have had in them...

oh yea and strauss missed half of last year with a shoulder.

how much different would our forward line look this weekend with a fit jurruh and petterd down there...

It's a double edged sword, Not having injuries might help climb the ladder, but then there is less opportunities for other to gain that valued experience.

also higher up the ladder means less opportunity to get those Trengoves & those Scullies, the Mortons & the Gys, & other GysMo's.

Unfortunately that's the name of the game and why its all about depth. Talk to any cats fan and you can see how gittery they are becoming and what about the saints with the loss of Riewoldt, McGuire (totally) the Hawks last year, the Bombers and Gumbleton. Only just getting out there. What concerns me is that the FD has not stock piled enough taller forwards for depth. You can't expect to win with a lucky season. You must rely on depth
