I was watching parts of the 2004 grand final between Port Adelaide and Brisbane and noticed Matthew Bishop playing for Port.

I was wondering if someone could tell me what Melbourne got in exchange for him when he left?

But apparently was an extreme good runner.

Thanks for that. Sounds like we should have kept Bishop. He was better than pick 42 and would have been handy for a few years.

Good luck to him because he won a flag.

much more effective player at melbourne than port. kicked 4 goals at each club, but got them in only 18 games at the mfc, while it took 132 games at port adelaide :P

My most vivid memory of Bishop is of when we were playing Port at the MCG and he (playing for us) was absolutely pummelled into the ground by Barnaby French. Mega tackle.

we did alright with stephen Powell though, the Bulldogs would have been kicking themselves.

First year with us & he plays in a GF None of there players have done that since'61 :lol:
