Bad luck to all those who came out to Casey today and went away disappointed.

I wonder if those who make it when they're really training would mind giving us a training report please?

For once you are half right- Cam Schwab rang me this evening to apologise. He accepts the club is fully to blame. They should have cancelled the training at Casey today and failed to do so- reason- they had to go to MCG- re induction .Also ran the tan. I explained in no certain terms my frustration and certainly the pathetic conduct in not putting this info on the MFC website- He concured-accepted this was twice in a row. I also suggested he looked at this website and in particular this thread to see and read our disappointment. He sounded very frustrated. Jennifer Watts also emailed me with her apology.I reiterate- it is not just today, or last week- this has been happening for years- as stakeholders we should be shown more respect. He heard me.Lets move on and have a Merry Xmas and an amazing NEW YEAR- GO DEES

always pays to ring the club !!

You're missing the point. The fact is you shouldn't have to......

Are you suggesting that the club expand its phone systems to include a "Website Acciracy Confirmation Line" ?

Posted

Hoopla, What is a acciracy-a typo? Did you mean accuracy? I understand if that's what you meant.

And Belzebub59, I'd be thinking a bit more before making suggestions like your last ones.

How the hell do you ring the club before 9am ?????

People are trying to tell you, that they have either rung or checked the website re training times on FRIDAY, Saturday,Sunday and even before training this morning and still the club can't advise its own followers and members correctly.

Does the management think this is good for gaining more members and promoting the future?

Come on Melbourne, you can be better than that. Admit you are wrong and then fix the problem straightaway.

Schwabby , over to you if you are up for it!

We have to get better and listen to what people have to say.

It is just not good enough - the website is pathetic.

I was [censored] off a couple of years ago but I only went from Moorabbin to TBO Sandringham which is nothing - was just inconvenient making a few work changes, but this is just awful.

Lets hope they really do take this on board, and not just the typical administrative (not just MFC) response.

Unrealistic expectations.

I'm not glad that people turned up to see training and were disappointed, but I am glad the club is obviously focusing on what they need to do to get the boys fit & fresh for the 2010 season.

Even if that means spontaneously switching training to a different venue and/or format to keep the guys fresh mentally.

Sometimes things like this can't be avoided. If its a continual problem then that is worrying, but at the same time, more the fool you for turning up if this has happened to you before.

Don't think I could ever condone knocking those who bother to attend training, especially at Casey.

Club has been sloppy. Ceo and Marketing /Communications Manager have apologized. Hopefully the club will now correct the situation. Move on, we are headed for some good times.

You're right; I just thought I read in one of the posts this had happened to someone before.

Can't find it now.

But I'd expect you'd learn from the first mistake.

No the expectations are not unrealistic. .....

Monday's arrangements are not changed at 8.55 am Monday morning - unless of course the players are expected to do a Ú turn in Cranbourne Rd and speed back to the city in 5 minutes! Someone in the football department should simply add the telephonist and the communications department onto their contact lists.

If the club cannot develop systems to keep this information accurate - it should withdraw it from the website - and explain why it does not believe that members ( much less supporters) should have access to it

You can't knock the FD part of the club for any spontaneous switch of training schedule or format to get the best out of the players. What can be avoided, if possible, is the communication between FD and media manager/website IT guru's for any updates or cancellations of dates of training down at Casey. It doesn't hurt to inform, surely.

You know what really is a shame?

If I need any news or information about events, training etc... My first port of call would be to PM some of the regulars here, BEFORE I even look at the club website.

Something very wrong there.

Well said Redleg.

I hope the Club gets it right going forward.

Why is it that 98% of your posts it seems, are in reply to Hoopla ?

It's ridiculous.
