It's clear to see the path the club is taking to maximise draft picks this year, but today just sucked!

Sitting in the crowd surrounded by those arrogant, moronic, pathetic human beings that are Carlton supporters, I wanted nothing more than for us to [censored] their joke of a team, but I knew before even turning up to the game we were never serious about winning.

Every time Judd came to the bench, it was almost a standing ovation by the morons around me.

I know the path we are taking, and the need to land the top 2 picks in the draft, but I would have given that extra pick up today to see us beat those clowns.

Very, very tough to sit through and watch, and little wonder so few of us actually turned up to cheer us on!

Um, they are a sh!tload better than us.

We didn't need any incentive to lose.

We're crap.

Agreed they are at present a better team, but we weren't without a chance of winning that game under normal circumstances.

We go in with 3 ruckman, McLean plays forward for most of the game, Frawley comes off for a break to give McNamara experience on Fev..........all fine for development, but not going to win us the game.

One of those ruckmen, and it was 4 ruckmen if you count PJ, kicked 5 goals and Martin and Spencer weren't given a bath.

And McLean couldn't have been a huge loss - we won the clearances.

McNamara on Fevola is an interesting one as I only saw a couple of Fev goals that were kicked on him.

What I am saying is that some of these supposed 'experiments' actually worked in our favour and we still lost by 10 goals.

We are awful. We let in 64 Inside 50s!

This tanking/experiemental/list management debate ended after the NM loss. The PP has been ours since then.

If you thought we had a chance against Carlton because we beat Freo last week you are setting yourself up for a fall.

Yeah, we might do them over next year but we will need a summer in the gym, a suitable amount of skill work, and Scully, Trengove, Watts, Blease, Bennell, Maric, Grimes, Wonaeamirri, Garland, Warnock, Green, and Bruce.

Amen to that! This season has been most unenjoyable and needs to finish! Plenty of good signs - grimes, jurrah, frawley etc etc, and a nice new set of draft picks - but i hate losing

I thought we played alright for the first 2 and half quarters we didnt have our best side in and we nearly went goal for goal. Frawley was great on Fev early, but i think Morton was on Garlett and he tore us apart.

We were never going to win but was great to see Nev Jetta run around the middle, and any game with Jurrah playing always gets me excited

The experiment is worth pursuing. Good for today and next week as well. The season is well and truly munted so why not see who can do what? Even if we had our best cattle on the park it would have been a stretch to believe we could beat Carltons mids. I don't like the tanking stuff (aka the Richmond game) but against teams we will lose against why not see who can do what - and more importantly who can't - so we can delist those that have obvious flaws or are too one dimentional for this ever changing game. I hope we give people a good chance to show they can play different positions next week for that reason. Imagine uncovering a kid that can tag a Del Santo or spoil a Riewolt? Worth the pain I think.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
