What is with these old threads, unbumped, suddenly appearing?

Teeny bit annoying.

Although good to see Hannibal was patronising 3 years ago...

The more things change...

I thought that gone through a worm hole or something. I was looking for Doc Brown and his flux capacitor. It was freaking me out!

I've locked all the old threads that have been bumped. Don't want them flooding the boards, especially during gameday when we have better, more current things to discuss.

I'm off to the game soon, but hopefully whoever keeps bumping up the threads gets the message. DON'T DO IT!

No idea who has been doing it but on reflection the message is clear, let's not overrate our kids before they achieve anything. Seems to be a theme at the club over the last decade. Whoever is doing it has a point.

Sorry all, my fault. No intention of pissing people off. I voted in one of the polls without realising it'd bump the whole thread, but when I noticed I'd found a couple of other ancient threads overrating the young list. Not that it's the same situation, but just how quickly things can change.

Now off to the game...

I started posting on the old Demonland in November 2002.

I've mellowed so as not to upset softies like you.

Actually its interesting to read some of them.....

You should ask permission before bumping a thread... seriously who do you think you are bumping an old thread??????

Why the hell should he ask permission. Plus he didnt even know.

The vote bump is good, otherwise polls will disappear much faster than they currently do.

Bumping also allows for people to review contributions. They will be engaged or ignored, no big deal.

sarcasm doesn't show through computer monitors. i would hazard a guess he was joking

I had another name before rpfc, so I am familiar.

But I appreciate you trying to be accommodating...

What were you before rpfc?

Something like 'number 27' if I recall correctly.

It was before D'Land got revamped and I just didn't start again for a while.

Was that for Ingerson or Rivers?

I'm guessing Rivers, just thought I would ask. I'm not entirely sure how far back you started. I'm guessing Rivers now....

I remember you, and your avatar. I would never have guessed that was you, actually.

I don't even remember my avatar.

Was it ND?

Good memory, Nasher...

Bad priorities though. Imagine what else you could be remembering...

And Rivers is right HT. I guess that means I posted from 2004 till whenever D'Land did the overhaul.

I remember all kinds of useless toss, and unfortunately have no control over what I do and don't remember. Your avatar was some bloke with a stern look on his face (an eyebrow raised?). I don't know who it was (didn't at the time either), but I remember he reminded me of Shaun Micallef.

Reckon you're 100 times the poster now as you were then though.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
