I have 15,000 words due in on Tuesday . . . but I'm going to have to go now . . . I'm more screwed than Jack.

Cant wait ... have to take our kids just so in 10. 20, 30 years time they can say ... "I was there for Jack Watts first game in the red & the blue" ... it will help instill the passion for ever.

I will never forget my first time I saw Robbie Flower run down that wing ... still brings a tear to my eyes today.

PS Any of my kids mates wont to come ... Demons supporter or not I will carry them on my back to the MCG if I have too.

Its up to us supporters to get behind the club ... turn up in our droves.

Lets go Dees!!!

BEST. NEWS. EVER.

Thanks Steamin Demon...i wanted to believe you all along but couldn't let myself get too excited just in case. Been burnt too many times by big claims from great sources.

Now hopefully the Watts image on this site can get updated so Jack is in a Demons jumper instead of the Big V!!!

Go Redlegs!!!

Where are you from mate?

And nightmare im not even sure if we have Tiger Air?

I actually have a secret that only a few demon supporters on here know about. I am yet to ever go to a game at the G full stop and i have been a supporter since 1995. Im struggling financially atm so its going to have to wait a while yet :)

Still ill make it a big day at home with girlfriend, brothers and more friends, bbq and lots of frothies!

Cant wait ! :)

Can we do something and get Mousey down for THE game!!!!!!!

Had a look for you Mousey but the prices at this late stage are very expensive (and you'd have to fly in and out of the Gold Coast)

Depending on the weather - we should get at least 75,000. Cold & wet would be the only reason people will stay away. But I'll be there!!!!!

Thanks to MFC for the SMS, great to get updates like that. Really appreciated.

We'll all be there, this is one we're gonna WIN!

Anybody taking bets on Jack's first kick???

anyone dare to guess how much the saviour's jumper will go for in the auction?

Great News. Well done to Jimmy and the match committee. I just hope he stays safe and the filth don't try rough house tactics on him

Whatever happens - win, lose or draw - I hope Jack enjoys the day and gets that wonderful feeling of a full MCG surrounded of loving fans so that he gets a taste of what it will be like holding up the cup a couple of years from now.

Just got my message from Jimmy, very excited. Times like this I wish I wasn't living at the other end of the country. Was going to go camping but have to watts the game now.

14 degrees and showers tipped for Monday - why does the weather always seem to be crap whenever we have a big home game

You'd hope JW would trump bad weather, but this may bring the crowd down a bit

I'm in the same boat. I got a thesis proposal due Tuesday and exams Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday...

But I'm willing to sacrifice sleep to get it all done before Monday.

I can confirm that Jack Watts is "99% sure" that he's playing on QB. Without giving too much away, theres one minor issue that it is contingent upon but Im advised that it shouldnt be a problem.

Good call Benny.

Look forward to seeing Jack and having a few brews with yourself and the_russian (no not Jamar, the demonland poster ;) ) on Monday!

No future Demon champion could have a better debut. Savour the day, Jack Watts!

Because as supporters, we're gonna... :D

HELL YEAH!!!

best news ever!! I will be in the MCC area getting blind with I heart watts on my chest (i dont know if ill get in to the mcc area with that though) :(

Well played Jimmy, whether by design or by chance he (and others) has generated a lot of Buzz for the club in the way he has handeled this.

This game MUST be won.

There is also rumour that Liam Jurrah will make his debut also!!!

If true this could be one of the most exciting build ups for a game that i can remember!

is there any more news/rumor on this one?

if its true I might not be able to sleep sun night!

Thanks Mick, I put my head out and people were questioning me. I said I wouldn't say it if it wasn't true. I'd just like to say I TOLD YOU SO !!!!!!!!

Good luck Whopper !!!!!!

Go Dees and look forward to the walk to the 'G'

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
