Lewis Jetta

dreamin' man

Recommended Posts

Watched the last quarter of the WAFL v. SANFL game today. Lewis Jetta got three goals for the day and shapes up as a player with personality. He is tall and skinny and has a go. I reckon he would be worth looking at later in the year.

Think this link might have been posted here before.

Heard Scott Watters (WA coach) talking about him on the radio. Said he had concerns about him playing in the wet because he's so light. Jetta assured him that he was "sensational" in the wet.

Also another one correct if im wrong ( Mike maric) brian taylor mention he was a talent. I may have miss herd.

It just refreshed my memory as Jetta is with us.

Did he say Nick Maric? BT was gushing about Addam. Started to say he loved him, changed it to like.

I know Lewis Jetta got a mention elsewhere here because his aunt spoke about him at the fabulous event last week. But just by way off a progress report ... a fellow WAFL watcher, much more of an expert than I am, reckoned he'd got ahead of himself & his form had been pretty ordinary lately. Then on Saturday I listened to Swans getting shellacked by East Perth & Jetta did nothing until the last quarter when he kicked goal of the round -- on the run, 55m out & the commentators said it hit the fence on the full.

Just wanting to keep his name in calculations ...

Would love him to be a pick of ours!

Very Cyril the way he moves.

Only thing that worries me..i saw an interview with him on youtube somewhere and he was pretty serious when saying i only want to be an eagle!?

I've been watching Lewis for around 2 years now - and the improvement in him over this course has left me dumbfounded.

Lewis is an explosive midfielder from Swan Districts in WA.

Reminds me of Andrew Lovett with his serious leg speed and field kicking - already averaging 15 possies per game in the WAFL.

Have a look at his run down the wing around the 38 second mark of the vid. ohmy.gif

.. I've heard a flutter that Freo, WCE and Carlton are keen.

Where do you think he could go, early?

Where do you think he could go, early?

There were a couple of mature-age recruits from the WAFL last year that may give a bit of an indication. Hayden Ballantyne went to the Dockers at pick 21, he was 21 years old and had kicked 70 odd goals in the WAFL that year. He was a direct, mature-age replacement for Farmer though and it is the Dockers so he may have gone a lot higher than other teams rated him. Liam Anthony went to the Kangaroos in the 40s, another well regarded 21 year old from the WAFL.

Lewis Jetta seems to be making more of a splash than those guys though and may have a bit more currency as he is a year younger and its supposedly a much weaker draft.

You'd think Freo may be very attracted to another mature-age draftee given how many 18 years old they picked up last year and will draft again this year.

So I wouldn't be suprised if it came down to whoever had first pick after the first round, the Dockers, WCE or any interested Vic clubs such as Melbourne.

It would be funny if we got him ahead of WCE, given we supposedly snatched both Bennell and Neville Jetta from their grasps last year also ;)

Where did you invent this only from?

Its no different to Sam Blease saying he'd love to go to the tigers before last year's draft or Grimes expressing his desire to play for his beloved demons.

Its a pipe dream and unlikely to come true and any draft hopeful knows this.

That was a Hutchy-like post.

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
