"M. Jamar has been added to the long-term injury list (stress fracture in his foot). Will be replaced by Jake Spencer."

deegirl from 'ology has been on the money previously.

you beauty... mfc shows a glimpse of testacle

poor Jamar though, that's like being delisted for a rookie right before the season... ouch. He might never play again! Oh well he has played far too many games more than he deserved, which is zero.

I was wondering about this though, isn't there some sort of qualification for being on the LTI, aren't we rorting the system by doing this? Does the AFL conduct it's own medical assessment or what?

PS Very likely to be the truth from deegirl BTW

How are we rorting the system if he has a stress fracture?

well isn't it in place for blokes who have written of the season? He was due back round 5-ish wasn't he? How long is Long term?

Not 100% sure but i think it may be 8 weeks

That's correct.

That's correct.

So, in that case, does the AFL give the all-clear that the injury qualifies or do they just take our word for it? Cos that would be open to rorting wouldnt it?

if this is true it makes saturday's game all the more interesting. Messen v Spencer for 1st ruck!

I do feel sorry for MJ though, bad way to start the season.

Most of Deegirls 'on the money' were news any footy fan who voraciously reads anything associated with footy could have said.

Unless it is on the MFC board, why does everbody believe it, which still means that if there is no other LTI, Spencer would return to VFL once Jamar is fit 6-8 weeks.

And the knives come out for Jamar who is immediately retired.........'loyal' supporters one and all, I am surprised that some of the MFC players can actually run onto the field with all the knives and barbs sticking into them

This may well be the end of Jamar, if Spencer can hold his own when he has his chance in the team. And the best bit is, we won't have to play Meesen.

I guess that some sort of doctor's analysis would be necessary.

She's always right, if she's guessing, I might get her to do my tattslotto, every week.

And when Spencer is forced to return to the VFL after 8 weeks, he can be promoted again at round 11, and Jamar can play out the rest of the season dominating the VFL rounds 12 through 22 because he doesn't get near it at AFL level and Spencer has already played 3 better matches than Jamjar ever has.

Can somone clarify something for me im not aware of for sure?

Who is on our Rookie List ATM-

Jake Spencer? and who?

Zomer

Healy

Mckenzie

Valenti

Hughes?

come off it. Are we never allowed to say anything negative about a player under any circumstances HTFU

how many times in his career has he been in the best players? Maybe once?

66 games - 8 times has got 10 disposals or more for an average of 5.6 a match. 66 games for being tall.

sorry for being relieved we might actually go into a game with 22 footballers

and to think Sylvia cops it!

By the time it gets onto the Melbourne website, Jamar will be fit to resume.

I'll take Deegirls info ahead of the MFC website anytime.

How about [censored]?

From Bailey's talking on the MFC website, I would have thought that he is focussed on playing Meesen.

And before a player goes on the LTI, he must personally agree to going on the LTI. I cant think why Jamar would agree to go onto the LTI to let another player competing for his spot while he is injured for up to 8 weeks?

In the past she has been spot on. She announced Mc Donalds appointment three weeks before he club did. What's your basis for such a bad view of Dee Girls info?

I think people are just excited for a young prospect to get an opportunity.

So you're saying Jamar is not team oriented?

I find it funny that you roll your eyes at someones spelling mistakes, when a majority of your posts are full of errors. Concentrate more on the footy, less on being a hero.

Hughes?

Really so we 6 people on our Rookie List?

Thanks for that info mate.

Poor old Valenti :(

I can. But we'll see.

I cant think why Jamar would agree to go onto the LTI to let another player competing for his spot while he is injured for up to 8 weeks?

Maybe he's adopting the "ask not what your club can do for you; ask what you can do for your club" approach?

bad way to end a career too

GET OFF JAMARS back.....goose

Why does Spencer have to play the first half of the season?

No harm in finding out if Meesen has anything, and will be good when Jamar comes back.

Spencer can be added to the list after Round 11 and start his long career in the Red and Blue, he's not going anywhere

DB and CC go up to Jamar and say 'look we need a ruckman so we need you to back off so Spence can come in" do you really think Jamar is going to tell them to shove it, have us start the season without a ruck and just just continue being part of the team with everyone knowing this? What about 'well you better or you won't play again or get another contract and you know nobody else will draft you given you have barely ever played a decent game of footy'

What do you think he'd say then?

Wow

That would never happen sunshine.

Brendan Gale and the players association would be so far up CC n DB's ass, they both wouldn't be able to sit for weeks.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.
