I'm shocked he was delisted from Port. Carlton have obviously seen the talent on display as they've invited him down for a pre season.

FFS, you want another club's reject?? PA have had a couple of years to evaluate him and reckon he's no good. You can have him and your Hislops and other recycled players. I'll look to pick up a Simon Buckley, Clint Bartram, Stef Martin or Colin Garland with my late picks thanks and you can flounder with rejects.

I don't really care if we miss a "serviceable" player, we've actually got plenty of them. What we lack are players who can really dominate and play elite grade footy. We lack players opposition clubs worry about. You blokes can agonise over recycled NQR players but I'd rather improve the list picking players who just might make a difference.

Garland, Buckley and Martin might. It's worth having your misses to get players like that. Why would you waste time, resources and opportunity replacing one average player (like CJ) with another average player (like Bentley).

we all know watts will be chosen as number 1, and we all know the names being floated around for our pick 17 and pick 19. but who will we get with pick 35, 51, 64 and 76?

I'm going to review this thread and see who was the closest to the money. And whoever that is I will give them life long respect :D

Has to be in order.

Here is mine:

pick 35: Jarrad Redden - SA ruckmen. We all know we need one. He is agile and is another midfielder in the centre after the tap out such are his 2nd and 3rd efforts.

pick 51: Tom Allwright - a midfielder that has good skills and is a good bartel-like overhead mark. He may be gone a little bit before us..but not earlier than the 3rd round.

pick 64: Liam Jones- a 194cm key forward with plenty of zip and marking ability. missed plenty of football through injury.

pick 76: N. F. I

Pick 76 Alex Silvagni 21year old 92 kg 192cm Key defender this year at Casey Scorpions in VFL . Already played against top AFL forwards this year and accounted for most of them

So 35 might be a stretch!

Collingwoods 1st pick might be a bit too early. He might be a chance for Brissy - he's from Qld. (pick 25).

Our pick 35, I was hoping Zaharkis (midfielder) might slide there, but if not Nick Suban (small defender) or Sam Wright (leading forward).
