Hope he is not trying to get delisted and get next years wages

I would have thought Nathan would be on his best behaviour with the club in order to be paid. So i am suprised. Being AWOL certainly won't help his bank balance..

I think he was asked to stay away, as opposed to being a no-show.

Yes..I would expect he is Persona non grata at present

In SEN speak

More likely...a bogan than a no show.

Reading between the lines Nathan Carroll is effectively an ex Melbourne player.

Was there any link relating to Carroll to not show up, or being asked to stay away from training?

H_T, given we're trying to delist him, I'm pretty sure he was asked not to come.

Indeed.

Please please please be too

Come on Nathan. Stop beating your chest trying to be tough. If you want to show what a man you are, it's by doing the hard things - not by giving in to primitive urges. You're nearly 28 and the vast majority are thinking your behaviour is not tough or fun but pathetic. Do you want to spend the next 50 years with people saying behind your back what a DH you were? Have a think about what self-destructive behaviour means.

If you told him that, I'm sure he'd just tell you to go [censored] yourself. Some people just don't work that way. Nathan is who he is. And that's not an AFL footballer.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
