I'd be disappointed if Garland couldn't crack top 10. One of our few players who regulary beat or broke even with direct(and dangerous) opponents this season.

In my eyes the top 5 would be,

1. Brad Green

2. Cam Bruce

3. Paul Wheatley

4. Brock Mclean

5. Col Garland

Seriously if Bruce wins the B&F over Green, then Green should leave and make sure the club gets nothing for him, I honestly think Bruce this year was very average. Got it lots of times and shanked it lots of times, possible Bruces worst year for the club in so many ways.

1- Brad Green

2- Cameron Bruce

3- Brad Miller

Best First Year Player: Wona (even tapering off at the end of the year, for a rookie to come into what would become the 16th team and kick 24.4 in 18 AFL matches..)

What time does it finish? When will we be getting any info on it?

Jack Watts has won the B & F.

This from the guy who reckons that we should take Vickery at one.....

No surprise that McLean is leading, i think he'll be a long way out in front when he gets injured and then still at minimum finish in the top.

the omission of cameron bruce not in the top 10 proves your unwillingness to eliminate your personal issues with him versus plain common sense

Oh wait

thats why your so infamous and wrong as usual

you should grow up me thinks

Yeah thats me! It looks like Mr. Watt's will be a Demon! I am liking him more everyday with what I am seeing. But I would still like the Dee's to trade for Essendon's Pick 5. Vickery if available. If not Ziebel.

BROCK leading at 12 is right on! I am recieving updates by text message. Have asked for news on Green re-signing. No reply back yet.

You gotta feel for poor Brock.

He would be on his way to a 2nd B&F tonight if it wasn't for all the damn injuries.

Just goes to show that he is by far our best and most valuable player, and should captain the side from 2009 onwards... and hopefully a change of role will bring a change of luck and he can stay away from crutches/slings/casts for the rest of his career.

would be my prediction

1. Brad Green

2. Cameron Bruce

3. Brock McLean

4. Cale morton

5. James McDonald

6. Nathan Jones

7. Colin Garland

8. Colin Sylvia

9. Simon Buckley

10. Brad Miller

Totally agree. The way he came back on after injuring his ankle shows just as much G&D as Hodge with broken ribs coming back on.

Needs the captaincy IMO.

edit:

Correct

Should almost be over by now you'd think, anyone got any further updates?

Just got an update by mobile from the B & F! Nothing has changed. BROCK still at round 12. Late night it looks! They have been doing auction's and all that stuff. No news on Green yet either.

They just auctioned off 6 life memberships. I know someone who paid $7000 for one.

Life memberships should not be auctioned/sold. They should be earned/presented. Crap.

There is six people that will not have to pay again for a membership. That's a minimum of $1,000 a year to the club, minimum. The one who paid $7,000 - thats equivalent to nearly 20 years worth of memberships.

Does the money from the life memberships go to Debt Demolition, Dee-tention?

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
