Alternative Jumper

Can one of you bubbleheads out there "knock up a mock up" for us on your computational DEvice, so we can see what Nudge is imagining?

I'd do it, but I'm too busy with Bub, QueenC and Rhino, nockin our heads against Bubs brick wall, on another matter !!

that would be something like this

I prefer it with the MFC logo.. but this is OK I suppose :)

edit... changed to a less vivid red !! lol

I gotta say i like it!!

Very aggressive!!

Go dees :)

I took the liberty of reducing the demon a bit and positioning it as though it were the yoke , as per our normal jumper. I kept the blue panels as I happen to think they're very defining.

Will be interesting to see what teh MFC actually have !! lol

If all reports are correct and we can go with all red and a blue demon then surely we'd have a case to just reverse our colours. Our design is unique and i think it would be great to keep it in a clash jumper.

Fair call... but the Dee might excite the younger folk. And I could easily buy Bub's design and wear it to the ground.. and a few other places as well.

Yeah for sure I like it but i'm more a traditionalist and prefer the sash's/stripes etc that jumpers have rather than pictures but as long as whatever we wear as a clash jumper is red and blue I will like it far more than anything white or silver.

Your point about the young folk might have hit the nail on the head, we desperately need to attract young supporters and the demon might appeal to them.

I really like this one. Ticks all the boxes; i) OUR colours (red & blue), ii) keeps tradition with the MFC motif.

Yes please.

That would make ours the best alternative strip in the comp.

Its a bit busy on the eyes

Psychodelic man!!!!

Saw this on bigfooty. Thoughts?

I like it.

WTF. I know we've got a new alliance with the Casey Scorpians, but did we have to adopt their jumper? It's awful

Just watch the screen,, just the screen.. concentrate on the screen....now you'll feel yourself drift of into a journey through time and space...!!!!! :D

Not a fan. At all.

Ed: And yeah, we don't need yet another 'clash' guernsey that clashes.

Yuck! It has white. Who designed this? This would clash just as much as the jumper the team wore against StKilda at the Dome!

Has a bit of Scorpions about it...

Wow.. I must be in the minority - I quite like it!

too many curvy things happening for me....suit a cheerleader ;) ..not a FOOTBALLER !! <_<

Giving me a headache..lol

It's ok, but is a bit too much.

Would like to see it on a player, they usually look different on the players.

different

I confess am a bit of a traditionalist when comes footy's look !!

I like 3rd one. Bit indifferent to the 2nd one, i dont like the 1st or 4th.

Busy, arty-farty carp. The swirls and colour breaks might look pretty in a magazine, but useless on fast action sport, live or on tv.

And get rid of the white, will ya !!!

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

  • POSTGAME: Richmond

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
